What major or ultimate attack(s) have you always dreaded the most when fighting a boss or enemy?
For me, it's:
Zodiark's Darkja
Seymour's Total Annihilation
Malboro's Bad Breath
(Putrid Breath for the tougher versions in FFX and FFXII)

Bad Breath, mostly. Can't think of a lot of other attacks/skills/spells. perhaps Ultima if cast by a strong enemy.
Bad Breath, Scathe... Zanmato. Yup.
Definatly bad breath
Jecht shot
Any of Nemisis' attacks
Yunalesca's ultra kill-everybody-not-in-Zombie-status cheapness.
Bad Breath is the bane of Omega Ruins. "OH :skull::skull::skull::skull: A MALBORO. OH :skull::skull::skull::skull: WHY ISNT AURON THERE??? OH :skull::skull::skull::skull: NO RIBBON, FUXXXX...
NO TIDUS, STOP IT!!! STOP STABBING RIKKU!!! STOP IT!!!!"
yiazmat's death strike. especially when it casts it multiple times in a row. and the bad breath in omega ruins is pretty horrible too.
Yep, the Bad Breath attacks and any other attack that puts multiple status effects on my party. I hate it!
Bad Breath. I also fear Kefka, but not because he has any seriously painful attacks.
I had 60 Farplane Winds, and I should have used those to make Deathproof armor. Instead, I used those to customize the Deathstrike ability onto Tidus' sword, and I regretted that later when I went to fight Yunalesca. The Deathproof ability would have really helped immensely. I would've given it to Yuna while having two of my guys kept in zombie status. Doing this would've gotten me out of her Mega-Death attack. Because of her AoE death spell, it took me a couple of Game Overs before I defeated her.
I've lost almost 2 hours of leveling up in the Omega Ruins before because of these freaking Malboros. They get on my damn nerves! :mad2: Berserk + Confuse isn't pretty at all! Even if confusion misses, you still don't have control if you're in a berserked state. I found that one of the best ways to take on these evil plants is have First Strike on your weapons then switch out for Yuna. Have her summon an aeon, and use it to own it.
The Demonoliths in there are bad, too, because they sometimes love Stone Breath, and if petrification happens to stick on all three of your guys, guess what, it's Game Over! I lost around 1 hour of leveling up one time because of two of these bastards! :mad2:
In the Omega Ruins, you essentially have to come prepared with First Strike, Stoneproof, Confuseproof, Berserkproof.
The most annoying thing about Yiazmat's Death Strike is that it takes priority over all of your actions (except attack). He reallys begins to chain that move when his total HP gets below 1/2.
I don't think there is anything more awful then Dark Yojimbo's Zanmato.
Not in the FF series anyway.
Bad Breath=Me Weeping Endlessly :(
That's why you save after each battle in the Omega Ruins.
After these incidents, I started doing that a lot. :p
However, as you trek through there to get to the weapons to fight them, there are no other save points. :( So, if you are there just to fight the weapons, and you're under leveled and/or don't have stoneproof/confuseproof/etc., then you will have to start all the way back to the entrance if you die.
It's best to have "break damage limit" ability in there.
The Final Boss of both FFIII and FFIV, because they tend to just use their ultra powerful attack every friggin turn.
THE JACKEL
Bad Breath from the Malboro species, and basically any special attacks from Final Fantasy VIII's Ultima/Omega Weapon. LV5 Death, Shockwave Pulsar. mostly attacks out of Final Fantasy VIII.
On FFXII, few others are Curse and Phantasmal Gaze by the Necrofiends and Hecteyes (flans with multiple eyes). Also, the Mythril Bubbles by those same flans.
Anyone who's ever faced them know what I'm talking about. I can't stand these awful flans, and these Necrofiends in certain areas of the game simply drive me nuts!!!! :mad2:
The Necrofiends get a kick out of spamming Phantasmal Gaze which brings on the Confuse state, and if it sticks on all of your guys, then your whole party can get wiped out. Their Curse can leave Disease as one of its states, and if it's not fixed, your max HP can drop to 1 upon being arised from KO status.
Hmm... I'll have to say Ultima... becuase every other superboss in FFX uses it eventually.
