just wondering...what's the most exotic meat you've ever eaten??
i'm trying to think of what mine is and it's strange, but i think it's buffalo...since most people don't eat it, that's what i'm goin with.

I don't know what we're counting as "exotic" so I'll just list things:
-buffalo
-ostrich
-deer
-rabbit
-chicken heart
-eel
-octopus
-squid
-sea urchin
-shark
-white tuna
For most exotic, I think I'll go with musk ox. I had a musk ox burger in Alaska.
wowzers i'm sheltered...
i meant exotic to mean things you wouldn't expect most people on EOFF to have ever eaten before
I'm going to say eel. Not that exciting as compared with Shlup's list!
Um... chicken? xD
Kangaroo [jerky]
Human kidney.
(Turducken)
I tried my first sushi yesterday. Raw salmon. It was like eating a raw piece of fish. :eep:
That's the best way I can describe it.
Other than that, just some deer.
"Crunch roll" is a very vague term that would describe a maki (roll) sushi with... whatever the hell "crunch" is sprinkled on it. I think crunch is tempura flakes.
it's just sounds funny...and the whole creation of said tasty vittles is just so interestingly sexual and raunchy to me
I ate chicken heart....icky...gizzards too...chinese people eat that crap all teh time though...weirdoes.
Yeah I've had buffalo too, tastes normal, it's like a leaner version of steak. I've tried squid, but isn't that the same as calamari?
I think I ate some cat/dog before, but I can't be certain. It was pretty good and I ate it a few more times.
Panda brain. Mmm...
I haven't eaten meat that are that exotic, but I've had octopus, doves (which I thought was pretty "exotic"), and I'm quite sure that I've also had horse, even though it pretty much disgusts me.
Yeah, probably duck. Ive never been anywhere that sells exotic meat. I saw a Restaurant selling Rabbit in Spain, I was like ";____;!!" as I have a pet Rabbit.
Duck is the most exotic I know. Alligator?? DOG!? CAT!??! YOU'RE ALL FREAKS!!! HEARTLESS FREEEEAKS!!!
I've eaten scorpions, Giant african ants (no lies here this is all true) and Alligator the only shame is that they have to kill the gator for it's tail only.
I only believe in farming, hunting is stupid.
Why?
Only Gator tail meat is edible. Polar bear is supposed to be quite rich and nice but they have to be very careful with that shizz as the liver is fatal.
Oh and Gators are farmed out in Austrailia and the rest of the body (namely the hide) is used to make gator skin goods ect.
Fear factor once featured the infamous "stillborn duck egg" (whatever it's called there) and the contestants were puking their guts out. I laughed at them because I eat those eggs almost every night.
frog legs in Cambodia or cooked snails when i was much younger.
I've had buffalo but I didn't particularly enjoy it because I couldn't stop thinking about what it was. I don't like to be very "exotic" with my meat at all; I'll eat chicken, turkey, fish, beef, pork/bacon/ham, and that's it and that's all. Anything else weirds me out.
Feel free to call me either unambitious or hypocritical depending on your stance on meat-eating!
The most 'exotic' animal flesh I've probably had is probably crocodile.
I haven't had rabbit (supposedly tastes like tender chicken), or buffalo, but I have had croc, which are the 3 most easily attained 'exotic' meats I can get my grubby hands on.
edit: upon re-reading this, I mentioned eating buffalo o_O which was at one point endangered. Hm..
Goat...it tasted like chicken injected with crap.
Ive had allagator meat before it tastes like chicken but its a little more chewey. I wouldn't even consider allagator meat really that exotic and thats the weirdest thing Ive had.
EMU BURGERS! <3
=D
Probably just raw octopus. And god damnit it was disgusting. I'm done with tentacles.
All the people that actually knows something about the open-air taco shops in México will agree with this...
Dog and Cat's BBQ
*EDITGA!!!!*
Oh, and also cow and bull's eyes :)
The most exotic meal I've had is probably Mac and Cheese.
Jiminy cricket!!1
Probably cow brain.
I've had octopus in my sushi on quite a few occasions, and I'm a regular squid eater. One some occasions there's roe in some meals, but I usually prefer it cooked and not raw (no, not 'caviar').
