and now i cant hear much with my right ear, is this normal or something? is it temporary?

Maybe a 3-4 times a week.. I tend to forget cleaning them.
I clean them almost every night.
You could always try washing yourself, showers are--Oh crap someones said that joke...

Cotton swabs are pretty useless.
I usually clean my ears every morning. Sometimes I forget when I'm extra tired or rushing....
i swab them with q-tips after every bath, but i had to use wax removal at least once.
It's fun to let the dirt accumulate and then scrape it out

I hardly ever clean my ears...
I clean my ears as and when they need it to be honest it's not healthy to do it too often, you can actually damage your ears in the process of doing so (was born with a problem with my ears have had to be meticulous with their care since then) I've tried many products and agree that cotton swabs are pretty useless on their own.......I tend to get otex ear drops then use cotton swabs that or this product called "sonicare" which is essentally a spray to break the wax down.

Whenever I want to look REALLY REALLY good and clean up. After I take a shower or before I leave, I go into the bathroom, take like 10 q tips and clean them up.

Hydrogen Peroxide works well, it burns it up, instead of pushing it deeper.
for me it's kind of like an OCD thing...even though I don't have OCD o.O
I do it all the time, whenever I think they're dirty, before I go out, even if I just cleaned them 1 hour before.
The need to be cleaned rarely.
But it feels great too, so I do it often :P

Be careful when doing this sort of thing. You don't want to puncture your ear drum. I have a history of ear trouble so I am more paranoid than the average person thus I would probably go to my ENT.
