Which compulsory subject do you enjoy doing most, and tell me why you like it. Mine is English, so what's yours?
Out of those I'd say English. I've always loved having English at school and I'm just overall good when it comes to languages, but pretty stupid when it comes to math and stuff like that.
i would rather say english cos its writing
but i am best at maths and love it so much ^^
English. I love everything about it, except writing papers.
I find english most enjoyable.
English owns my soul. I have an English 2340 final in about two hours, in fact.
Maths because I'm somewhat good at it. English is kinda boring and Science I just can't do.
Definatley not maths, it just confuses me, even though I'm in the top maths group so I must be pretty good at it. I'd say, probably English, cause I enjoy it sometimes, but I have the most evilest English teacher ever. >:[
I'm a long way out of compulsory education, but my favourite was always Maths. I just really like the structure of Maths in general.
English; just not the Language section. I love Literature. I'm somewhat good at it as Im in top set :}
Maths I cannot stand.
Science Ive never been able to understand WHY I need to know it. I never remember any of it.
English. My least favorite is Math. I excel, somehow, at Sciences. Despite not retaining any knowledge of the courses I have taken.
Prove it with Science! English literature is the most boring subject known to man, and Maths is annoying.
I will have to go with English. My English classes tended to be focused on literature and literature is just the L33t pwnzors.
Gah... why do people do that(the leet speak... .geh... no I am dirty *goes to wash up*).
I love English and I can't stand math even though I'm pretty good at it. Science is something I'm willing to try even though I suck worse at it than math.
History. You forgot the best one dammit.
Science is the best of these three with English second and Math a very long off last. I hate math.
English, because I like to read and write and junk. Math in a far distant second, I kinda good in Math and I do it very fast and can just blow through it really fast. Sciences bore the snot outta me.
I always liked English because I am naturally good at it. I had a really good time studying English Language for A Level much more than Literature, even though that was a bit dry going at times. David Crystal, the guy who wrote the workbook we used, is doing a talk in my local area about his new book, which is all about how the English language developed. I might go to that. God, I'm so boring... :eep:
And English in lower secondary (grades 7-9) was fun, since we wrote stories based on The Worst Witch and Stand By Me. Yes, we got assessed on fanfics! :p
I really liked math, but I liked English and Science too! I just tried to be good at everything...maybe coz my mum was teacher!!!
I guess Math, all three were my worst subjects in school.
Maths is easiest because it is an international language. Like love
I kick ass at all of them, so thats my answer.
Math but I might have gone with history had that one been presented. English is so damn boring and backwards. "This is how to use the language now let us read a great piece of literature which breaks all the rules and structure we just talked about." Wait...what? My best example is "The old man and the sea"
English, cuz I dont need to study :D and science its easy too... math..go away... ~.~ it would be easy too , but.. I had to study..so...nah
I always liked English, hated math, and—rather bizarrely—dominated in science. Actually, one of the only awards I ever got in high school was for best in science back in ’00 (the other was equally as queer: photography). Maybe I just cheated and didn’t realize it or something, because I know jack :skull::skull::skull::skull: about science now.
Science.
I am a Biomedical Science major after all.
grammar not English. An I will choose this only if you include creative writing. Which I love.
English is the easiest one to bs. I respect math and science more because at least you have to know what you're talking about. As a history major, given those choices I would choose the sciences. I like finding out new things about our world and universe.
English, though Science has the curious intrigue mentioned by Yams
Mathematics are wonderful.
None.
It was always science. Especially biology. I love finding out what makes us, us. Maths suck hardcore for me, I don't understand it at all. And I'm finding English wasn't as bad as I thought anyway, I can write a mean short essay. xD
:moomba:
S.C.I.E.N.C.E.
English. I love it! It's actually pretty enjoyable for me. I have Chemistry, and it just confuses me. Plus the fact that my teacher practically has no idea what she's talking about makes me hate it more. And math ... well ... I'm okay at it, but it's no walk in the park.
English, I guess. Even though I hate grammar, and don't really enjoy reading the school books. But math is the worst subject in the world, and any science besides biology is incredibly boring.
Are you kidding? Astronomy is fantastic!
Oh damnit, yeah, that's true. But I've never been offered a class in that, unfortunately. :( It's definitely fascinating.
In Norway we have a subject called natural sciences in jr. high, which covers a bit of biology, chemistry and astronomy. Nothing in-depth though.
Photos of far-away galaxies and things like that make me wish I was Superman, so I could just fly up there and witness them by myself... Why do humans have to be so small and weak? It's not fair.
English.
Of those three, English. I really don't like Math and the last two Science classes I've taken have seemed more Math than Science. Plus I love writing and plan to Major in English, so... Yeah.
My love for math drove me to engineering, where I finally had too much of it :p
I'm lazy and unintelligent, so English all the way. :)
Since I'm an astrophysics student, I'm gonna say Science. Maths is great too, especially since its an integral part of physics. I don't really like english all that much, but I appreciate it cos with out it I'll never get any research published when I graduate in a few years.
I feel a sudden urge to solve that equation now...
English, I dont have to studie and I take great grades:D I dont like science but I usually take good grades at it:) ...I suck at maths, it must be the worst thing in the planet!!!
Math and sciences for me. Both are logical and actually make sense. Can't say the same about English unfortunately. Plus Math and Science come rediculously easy to me (and yet I'm a business student; go figure).
Maths, especially Calculus. I like to see how things look and behave.
English.
I love History, too.
Maths was always my favourite when I was in high school, but I've always had a passion for science. Biopsychology is amazing, it's all sciency but with a hint of psychology in it. It's hard to choose though because I love english as well. I'm a bit of a geek, I loved them all :D :D :D
Smile and Be happy
My AP English teacher hated that book and said it should have been a paragraph.
History is the best mandatory class, but I also like the sciences (especially biology) and even math sometimes (as long as it's not statistics). I really liked English in high school, but that was more to do with the teachers than the subject.
Very difficult. I really love and excelled at all three, but I always found Math most interesting.
Maths requires discipline and understanding, which is why it was my major, and favourite of the three.
I would say History is on the same level of favoritism as English, because one needs a good deal of research, but also needs a interesting compliment of grammar and descriptive language, to make that essay one notch better. English also helps with widening your speech, and really aids you with oral activities. Drama, History and English go hand in hand for me; I can express my emotions well with sophisticated words, and transmit it well with equally good physical actions, through drama. I have knowledge at my disposal, from scanning through history books and lectures from teachers; all this really gives me an advantage I think, and I plan to expand my knowledge through striving to do better in Maths, and business studies for next year-which will also help with my I.T skills.
Definitely Science by far, i hate English because it is so boring, and math's i found just pointless after year 6. When am i going use pythagora's theorem to find an unknown length, instead of measuring it?!
Science was always the most interesting to me. English I seem to be naturally good at, so it was boring because it was just... stuff I already knew XD And math is interesting, but not quite as interesting as science-- chemistry in particular =]
I like math and science. :D
I'm very good at math.
If you're so good why will you die someday?
Because I have not discovered the anti-life equation...yet.
English of course and i'm the best at it too, so maybe that's why.
English, this one was easy but if the question was literature, english or history it'd be harder to answer :riiight:
Science. Even though I'm best at math, I find science so much mpre interesting. English is just plain boring; writing essays and papers, trying to look for deep meaning in literature...yawn.
English is the only one I was ever any good at in high school. I did it at my year of Uni and got a B or something so yeah. English, please.
OH I LIKE SCIENCE! ESPECIALLY WHEN THEY GIVE YOU LIVE WALKING GUINEA PIGS THAT WILL SCREAM AND YELL WHEN YOU CONDUCT SOME IN-DEPTH EXPERIMENT ON THEM!
math>science>english>social studies
but the first two are pretty close. The last one is like a light year behind!
Social studies is a gross generalization.
I HATE MATH AND SCIENCE. HATE.
I like English and history.
You can hate them, but you have to respect it at the same time.
English, because it doesn't frustrate me.
Think about it guys, we're using English right now! You wouldn't be able to even communicate on this site without it-maybe algebra somehow...
Definitely NOT maths!
I'd go for English probably. Wouldn't mind Science, but Science involves a bit of maths so yeah :P English is the most interesting.
I'd say English, 'cause it's so easy. They're happy as long as we spell things correctly and throw in some cool words with multiple syllables every now and then.
Science, but I guess that's kind of a given since I'm just about to finish my training as a Science teacher.
It's knd of scary how many people don't like it. Oh well, at least I'm not a Maths teacher!
Science is the most interesting. Math is the most sensible, and English is the course I do the best (grades wise) in.
I like them all, but I would sign up for learning Science any day.
