Well?
I am an MSN loyalist. If any of you forum goers who I don't hate want to add me to your list so you can ignore me and never speak to me, throw a PM my way and we'll negotiate some sort of settlement.
msn and aim are the ones i use, i dont have any msn friend except for one. add me if you want, and we both know you do. link31793 for both of them.
Although I use up to four IM's at any given moment, I generally prefer MSN, simply because it's possible to get hold of the large majority of people since the large majority of people have MSN account. And yes, I know Microsoft kill puppies and melt the polar ice-caps with giant magnifying glasses.
Well, MSN. The reason's quite simple. Only two people I chat with don't use MSN. But now that the new messenger has Yahoo! support, it's not a problem either.
Always had a problem with AOL and ICQ though. One keeps throwing their CDs into my briefcase every morning hoping that one day I'll be dumb enough to use their service, the other supports the malicious plan of the first by making me dumber with their sound effects...
Actually it's a duel.
I've got more friends on msn than aim, but I use both frequently.
I've been using MSN for 3 years so I guess its my favorite.
I like AIM a lot better. MSN just ... bothers ... me.
MSN, ftw. :D
MSN, but I don't really like it. In fact, I can't stand it.
I have no friends. :(
IRC, primarily. I like AIM most but am not averse to using Yahoo. Don't care for MSN.
I like AIM just 'cause that's what all my friends use, and there's not much point of having an IMer if you don't have any friends on it.
I think I like Y!M better though. I only have one friend on it though because he can't use AIM 'cause he's a blindy so we use Y!M phone.
Aim mostly, cause msn screws up alot, although i still go on to see who is online, and IRC.
I use AIM mostly, but I have MSN as well.
AIM and alternatively MSN.
MSN I guess, but only because most people I know use it.
I think I've been on AIM a total of ten minutes in the past year. I don't find it to be an appealing form of communication.
I prefer Google Talk, but since my friends refuse to use it, I am forced to use MSN. Of course, I could just go without, but... I would rather not risk it.
I only really use MSN, but that's only because most of my friends don't have anything else.
AIM. I have MSN and all but I hardly go on it. Nobody talks to me there anyway. :(
Technically speaking, Yahoo, because it doesn't suck on either the PC or the Mac and I use both.
(AIM rocks on the Mac as iChat but sucks on the PC as AOL crap, MSN rocks on the PC but sucks on the Mac)
However, because everyone uses MSN, MSN wins.
I use MSN like most people do and it's really nice.
However I think Xfire is REALLY useful for gamers etc.
AIM.
I use MSN to communicate with my non-geeky friends, but I mainly use IRC; it's so versatile and open.
IRC is my preferred medium. AIM is class though. 8-)
I can't decide MSN or Live Messenger?...;)
I have been using AIM since I was 13. I don't think I can adjust to anything else.
MSN Rocks my world. :)
But I can't go on it at the moment, 'cause my dad won't let me download it onto his laptop and our computer internet isn't working. :(
Used it before. It got annoying with the loading times and certain compatibility issues though, i.e. Sending Files can be a problem as is the Audio Chat.
Xfire is great, when it doesn't crash your game. I've uninstalled it after I realised that 80% of crashes actually come from that tool. E.g. WC3, WC3:FT, HoMM:V, SC, etc.
Have you ever heard of an app called Adium? Probably not.
I voted for AIM because the protocol is pretty good. At least as far as file transfers go, which is mostly why I ever use it! I chat on IRC more than any of these, but I guess that doesn't count as IM.
The only native IM program I have installed is Skype. Trillian handles everything else (irc isn't IM remember!) I use adium on osx unless ichat opens for some reason or I want to webcam
MSN.

just aim i had a yahoo one at one point but i dont remember it nor have i used it in forever.
my aol is ffm547 which actualyl stands for final fantasy master (how conceaded i know :p )and the 547 is rearanged first 3 digits of my phone number instead of 754.
I have MSN, Yahoo, 6 AIM names, and Xfire
I use AIM the most because most people in college have it
THE JACKEL
AIM for me. MSN craps out on me way too much. D: And I dont use those others.
Xfire for the win!
and MSN draws up in second place...
MSN... i used to use Yahoo, but just quit turning it on, and well AOL/AIM is for ppl that don't know any better and just use what comes supplied on their pre-made PC, any self respecting person that can build their own PC would never voluntarily buy or install a legal virus like AOL, and yes AOL is a virus one of the definitions of a virus is a program that can self-replicate wothout the users concent, have you ever tried to remove AOL once it's been installed, you think you've deleted every bit of it, reboot and BAM it's back, so yeah AOL/AIM is a legal virus and i refuse to use it, i refuse to use anything that roots itself that deep into a system...
Been using MSN for a long long time now. All my friends are on there.
Also, as of yesterday, users can chat on MSN through their 360. I haven't tried on mine yet, but apparently you'll be able to see what I'm playing when/if I play something.
I use msn (well ebuddy now) to chat sometimes with my friends!
MSN is what i use
AIM seems to have more font colors available so it's cool.
I think MSN won the pole. There comes the handiness of OEM.
