Yeah, it would. You see, FFVII AC is in my opinion one of the best action movies ever. It lacks plot, however. What little plot there is is difficult to follow :P
Sort of. The two plots aren't 100% connected.
Advent Children is a pretty movie, but the plot was rubbish.
Yeah i really liked watching it, and it would be even better if i knew what was going on :eep: I just cant seem to get the plot very well really. Maybe i should watch it a few more times.
you should play the game, you will probably understand more and the game is superb
Definitely.
Watching FFVII:AC without playing the game first is totally a big NO.
I wouldn't say that the game will answer your every whatever-in-your-brain question but it sure does helps you in some ways to understand the plot ;)
But don't put on very high expectation & hope - that's my advise!
You don't need to as the DVD comes with a reminiscent of FFVII i think it's about VII minutes long it shows all the story related stuff of VII. It really doesn't matter in the end though because the only thing tied in the movie with VII is the reappearance of Sephriroth other than that it doesn't have really anything else from the story of VII and not to mind that Marlene sort gives you a summary of what happened in the begginning.
Play the game and forget the movie.
The movie's crap in many ways, except the action. Play the game, it's great in every way, except the graphics.
I never thought I would say this...
Play FFVII.
Definitely play the game. The movie has so many references to the game that most likely you won't get much of the story, cameos or inside jokes if you haven't played the game. I know there's a "Reminiscence of FFVII" video on the DVD, but I think that video barely scratched the surface of the game.
All i'll say is it helps.
Yes you should deffantly play Final Fantasy VII it's one of the best games you get for the ps1. And if you got to gamespot at this this link then you can see how good score it got. Final Fantasy VII for PS - Final Fantasy VII PlayStation - Final Fantasy VII PS Game
Ancient thread!
I don't get why someone who isn't already an FF7 fan would even look twice at this movie :p.
Hey guys, use Warn Button plz. :monster:
DreamingOfAFantasy, please read the FAQ and do not revive super old threads. This person probably isn't going to check back to see if they should play the game first since it's been like 7 months.
