How do you pronounce "Bikke?"
I've always said it like "Bic," like the pen, but I've heard it pronounced "bike" somewhere before.
The correct pronounciation is whatever makes you the happiest.
I say Bik-ke. Bikky.
I'm a strange one - I always liked the sound of Beek-kay.. but bikky sounds right too... hmm...
Saying that I always tend to get pronunciation of ff characters wrong... tidus was taidus, squall was... sqwaaall... yeah... anyway it seems everyone has their own idea :P
I've considered it to be "Beek" for about 16 years now. I will not be swayed.
bike
I pronounce it "Bik-ke", where "bik" is pronounced like in "big", "pick" or something like that (not like in "bike", "pike" etc).
Bee - Kay
Yoon.
:P
Bick.
Bik-kee or Bik-kay, depends if I'm playing the original or the remake.
I prefer bike.
According to English pronounciation rules, you probably leave out the final "e", as usual. :p
[bik]?
However, in Sweden we would say ['bike], and that's exactly the way I pronounce it. :monster:
I say "bik" with a short I sound.
Beekay
Very quick, I don't lengthen either of the vowels much.
I never discuss the game out loud (none of my friends like the game; some of them even go so far as to call the PSone and the N64 "primitive" and "crap"), so I only ever actually read the names and never think about how I'm gonna say 'em.
Bik-kay
B.K.
What, so you English guys actually PRONOUNCE a final "e" sometimes?
I thought you constantly went "the word ends with an e, so let's omit the letter altogether, as usual". :D
In english words, that is the case.
However, in final fantasy, a game developed in Japan, many of these names are created by japanese programmers/writers, and some english speaking people would rather attempt to pronounce the name in Japanese.
Hence, they pronounce the e on the end of Bikke as "ee" or "ay", or however they think its pronounced in Japanese, or however they see fit.
I say bick. or at least I say it in my head. I don't know if I've ever spoken aloud about FF1 in my life. Well, actually I have, but that was to discuss how to pronounce GrOgre.
Beek-kay, but you have to say it so that the middle two k sounds are ALMOST like one. There is something like a nasal pause in between there.
I pronounce it "Bic." "Bike" sounds weird.
I thought it was bic like a pen the letter E like Bicky
