it's a really close call between Sabin and Tifa, but ima go with Tifa, though Sabins attacks are nice, Tifa's Limit Breaks just rawk if chained together without any misses...
it's interesting to see an Aeris/Aerith fan choose Tifa, usualy Aeris/Aerith fans are major haters when it comes to Tifa...

I like Sabin and Zell.
Zell, probably, or Sabin. Tifa just doesn't have a build suitable for martial arts :D. Also, Zell's limit breaks are better than Tifa's.

Actually, all the people listed saved for FFI's monk use weapons. Guy isn't technically a monk, since you can have him use any weapon you want.
Yang, Sabin, and Amarant use claws, while Zell and Tifa use gloves (which are considered a weapon because normal gloves wouldn't boost your attack power, and besides, they're found in weapon shops.)
My vote goes to FFV's monk class.

I would just like to state that Renmiri is right about Auron. He was a Warrior Monk when he was part of Yevon. Monk doesn't mean a fighter who just uses martial arts as a weapon.

Auron is a monk in the religious sense. His abilities and weapons are more samurai in origin.

I went with Tifa. She's a strong woman, and it's a good departure from the helpless schoolgirl in most japanese games.
Sabin was my favorite person on the list. I was not aware he was a monk. Gotta love the blitzes.

I don't think Sabin and Tifa really count as "monks" per-se since they both use magic and armor. Also, Sabin uses weapons. Technically Umaro is more of a "monk" type fighter than they are.
