the Hyperion (seifers) looks so much better...

Unless the ability to use lionheart is included i would say Seifers
seifers seems to be the most popular.....
i was the one who voted both are of equal greatness.
both look fantastic. but i might have been going more towards voting for squall's revolver.

Still Seifer has so much better looking.
Seifer's gunblade is better. His attack animation also whips Squall's.
I hated gunblades in general but Squall's was the worst, mainly because how freaking huge it was.
i just like the look of the hyperion and squall could have swung his blade single handed
The Hyperion gunblade probably looks cooler than the standard model, and Siefer's stance with it is better anyways.
Seifer's looks cooler.
I like Squall's 'cause of the Griever embellishment on the blade and the matching icon on the chain, but these make it look cumbersome and a bit cluttered. Seifer's, on the other hand, is relatively plain, but perhaps this is what gives his gunblade a more serious initial reaction. Also, the angles near the hilt of his weapon are more prominent, giving the semi-arc of the blade an overall sharper and deadlier appearance.

I like Squall's gunblade as far as looks, although Seifer wields his a bit cooler.
i have a gunblade and even though i think its an intimidating looking weapon thats all it is. the handle design is horrible. since its not straight with the blade swinging down or stabbing forward is akward. recovery from a missed swing is hard do to the handle and the weight. the sword weighs like 12 pounds where as a katana is like 3. i know 12 pounds doesnt sound like a lot but in a full force swing with one hand it feels like much more.
revolver > hyperion
I voted for both.
Squall's Revolver looks too heavy and cumbersome, although I love the engraving on the blade and the pendant dangling from the handle. Seifer's Hyperion, on the other hand, looks lighter and easier to use, and the blade looks razor-sharp. The design is plain, though. Both seem equally powerful.
So I guess Squall's wins for the design, while Seifer's wins for the usability, and they both score the same for power.
A sword with a hilt shaped like a gun is dumb no matter how I look at it.
As a fantasy weapon, a sword that also can be pointed at an opponent and actually used as a gun for ranged combat, or to throw your opponent off-guard would rock. I, for the life of me, can't figure out why they didn't do this--even if only as a limit break.
That said, Squall's gunblade > Siefer's

I voted for revolver . I think revolver is cooler than Hyperion .
and i usually forget that seifer has a gunblade and in the dollet mission I always forget to put the trigger for seifer's gunblade

You guys pretty much pointed all that needs to be pointed out. Squall's gunblade looks way too heavy and unusable, but it has a nice design and it actually has 'personality'. I think the revolver is based more on brute force in the swing, to cause damage. The engraving of Griever, the pendant, the shape, it all contributes to a great sword that looks awesome.
Seifer's hyperion, on the other hand, does look nice, deadly, and sharp, but it's much too generic. There are no specific qualities that you can really differentiate from. And although it looks lighter, easier to use, and Seifer does look cooler with it, I agree, it just looks too normal.
Verdict: I voted for Squall.
Squall. i think Seifer's Hyperion gunblade has a rather ugly appearance.
Lust if they had a char that uses a gunblade and weilds it like blank from ff9... you know, from the shoulder? that would've gotten my vote if it was real, but yeah anyway, i don't really mind but a question.. is the hyperion double edged? when seifer strikes it shows 2 lines, on the other hand squall only shows 1 line
Revolver without a doubt if only because Seifers is gimped as far as usefulness as a sword. There's a reason I've never seen a sword in the real world with the handle coming out almost ninety degrees perpendicular from the blade. It'd be awkward to swing a sword with a handle like that, and more importantly, even though Seifer's looks lighter and easier to wield, it'd still be rediculously heavy. That's not a sword you wield with one hand. Too bad for him that the handle keeps you from using a two handed grip.
I like Squalls the best.
not quite ninety, but yes, they exist. There are are plenty of pistol grip swords out there. Rarely though do you see them on anything heavier than a longsword, and they're most common on rapiers and eepees.Quote:

The detail on Squall's makes me choose it over Hyperion. I agree that the Hyperion does look a little bit generic. Revolver has personality.
And I am judging it purely on how cool it looks. Because this game is a fantasy game, so judging based on practicality is a bit silly.
Both are great.
Squall's Limits are usually better for duels.
Seifer's Limits hits all enemies.
Squall. There are upgrades and more limit-break attacks that come with it. And they also look better.
Whelps... Hmm. Personally, I find each of the two rivals' starting weapons to be of a rather equal unimpressiveness. *SHRUG*
