Second accounts

As you've probably noticed there are a lot of second, third, fourth and apparently elventybillionth accounts being made. These bitter people seem to be taking their revenge on these forums after being banned, and really I don't think it's neccesary. It's not funny, it annoys everybody, and these pictures are not cool. Not at all.

Under the same circumstances, what would you do? Would you make eleventybillion new accounts? Or would you just accept that you are unwanted, and move on? How do you feel about the current occurances?

That post somehow reminds me of how Genji got banned (again).

I would just move on, no second accounts or attempts to come back. I might have somebody else take a screenshot of my banned profile so I could see the pink words, though. Maybe touch them a little...little touchy...that's nice....

I imagine I wouldn't do anything to be banned permanently, probably just the odd temporary ban which is something that's never happened to me.

Chances are that the permabanned people are the ones who get me angry enough to do things that may result in a tempban someday.

They're easy to spot. Well, I'd think they would be since admins/cids/whatevers can probably check hostmasks/IPs. So, no. Unless I was on dial-up or something without a static IP.

Yeah, once it gets to the Cloudeleventybillionth time I get annoyed. But that other thread was funny just not the cloudeleventybillionth one. But from that dude aside I find it funny when people confes to being second accounts in threads and then later the members are banned so it doesn't spoil the fuin for me really. I've always wanted the pretty banned mark on my profile I think they look pretty just I wouldn't want to be banned.

Bakerman was banned for using Genji's computer or something, leading the staff to believe that he was one of Genji's million second accounts, which is crap because I've chatted with both of them on AIM at the same time.

I think PiP and ToD did a pretty good job of making it clear just how sad, pathetic, obnoxious, etc. creating accounts over and over again was. It's not hard to follow the rules at all, and considering I'm friends with several people on staff, I'd know to leave well enough alone and not cause crap for them.

I don't know about all second accounts, but life would be just that little bit less exciting and thrilling for me if LUKEJAKE17 didn't make a reappearance ever so often :-)

I vaguely remember making a second account a long, long time ago. After investigating further, I realize that I did. It's still there, but all of the posts I made on that account (very few, as far as I remember) have long since been pruned. It would seem it didn't last very long.

It doesn't annoy everybody. An do you really think somebodys going to be bitter about being banned from Eoff?! They make second accounts for a laugh. Most members at Eoff now are so boring an unamusing, we could do with some decent interesting members. An if a decent interesting an even amusing member has been banned, they should be brought back. Eoff is that boring now, that if I did get banned, I'd only be making second accounts to amuse myself, not because I wanted to come back here an stick around. An I'd prefer the whole forums to be filled with amusing threads from second accounts, than the boring rubbish unbanned members are making. The reason why a lot of members here haven't been banned, isn't because their nice an pleasant, it's because their too boring to be banned.

I always believed that he/she was Daryl, as she seemed the most likeliest of candidates. I haven't really been involved in a lot of identity discussion recently, so I cannot say who the newest inquiries are, but I have always felt that Daryl was the most likely person. Either her or Emperor Gestahl, as he had one of the biggest reasons to help the cast defeat Kefka. As far as accusations that, since Gogo existed prior to Final Fantasy VI, in the form of his character in Final Fantasy V, well.. different universes = different people, nyah!

I'd probably make wave after wave of second accounts that would launch covert spam posts in places like the FFV forum where nobody would really notice. Through that I expect the natural order would be disrupted and my original account would be unbanned. However, if I've learnt anything from films, I gather that at that point, my original account would fight it out with the secondary accounts. Only the original account (with the help of some comic relief member) would triumph and basically, not much would be different.

God was a second account.

Luvmachine<3 was my favorite second account I made. In 2004 I made her to date myself in an EOFF Christmas Party thread, or something like that, but eventually Leeza caught on and banned it. She was fun while it lasted though. I have one out there somewhere that was never banned, but I forgot what her name was :(

Yeah, when I was banned during Banfest I made about eight second accounts, one of whom still pops up on EoFF from time to time today.

I don't know if it was actually the computer thing, but they did think he was Genji's second account and he's not. Appealing wouldn't work, either. The staff aren't big on admitting their own mistakes, as evidenced by when.... what's-his-face... (I don't remember his name) was banned for quoting a post someone made with nudity in it and saying something like "That's against the rules."

Oh, he did appeal. However, before a decision was reached he went and spammed EoFF with porn and scat images, so y'know.

I'd probably make a second account long enough to gather the email addresses of people I want to keep in contact with and then admit to it/abandon it.
