New FFTA2 scans and official site update (Vaan and Penelo CONFIRMED!)

FINAL FANTASY TACTICS A2

It's been updated quite a while ago but I didn't see it reported so for safety I post it here. Worth a look is the character section, which now shows the jobs for each race (with short gameplay movies for each job), two yet to be revealed new races and some new jobs for the existing races, which can be seen in the new scans. The System section has some gameplay movies. And finally the latest update of the site offers new wallpapers for Cid and Hardy.

EDIT9: Now THIS is WEIRD! Al-Cid Margrace from FF XII appears in FFTA2, not only as an NPC but in the very least as a guest/playable character!

Also, Montblanc is now confirmed for FFTA2 as well! (I wonder if he'll remember MArche?)

Apparently jeuxfrance updated that page with five new scans.

More on the new jobs it seems. I recognize the samurai and I read somewhere that a new moogle job is 'Chocobo Knight' which could be seen riding on a chocobo in one of the scans. Hopefully this means that Chocobo riding is indeed back.

I'm certainly glad I have a DS, which seems to be a trend in this thread.

The game looks like an exciting prospect and I'll definitely get it when it comes out. I really enjoyed FFTA and have been waiting for a sequel since the first was released. The job system was really quite fun and while the story won't be winning any literary prizes, it was engaging enough and it got the job done. I hope the sequel is able to match the greatness of its predecessor.

EDIT: I jut noticed the official site has been updated on august 1. It shows gameplay movies of the new jobs in the characters section.

I like how, from the looks of the scan, Adel either joins your clan very soon or is an often guest or something. I dare to say she's not a second Ritz, for which I'm glad (Hey, I liked Ritz! I just wanted her in my clan sooner...).

Speaking about Ritz, I wonder if there will be a chance to trade units or unlock new missions with FFTA in your GBA slot. I want to see Marche and Ritz again.

I was excited about this until I heard that Vaan and Penelo were gonna be in this. Now I'm just completely unenthusiastic. I suppose as long as I can boot them from my team the second I get them then everything is fine and dandy.

I thought the same thing for a second, but, no. That's an enemy Soldier. Similar outfit, same color, but lacking a bit of Llednar's extra details.

It seems that the official site is updated yet again.

FINAL FANTASY TACTICS A2

The character page has been updated with Illua and Lezaford, and the page of the races has been updated with Gria and Seeq. Other races have some more videos for some of their jobs. There's a new video in the system section and some new wallpapers. And of course new background music. ;)

Well, here are its list abilities I found from this wiki page
ffta2 wiki / Ability

Devout
MP Charge - Restore MP
Magic Burst - Cast a Magic and teleport to attack the target
Cura - Restore an average amount of HP
Esuna - Cure Abnormal Status
Raise - Resurrect a fallen unit and restore 50% HP
Fira - Cause medium fire damage
Thundara - Cause medium thunder damage
Blizzara - Cause medium ice damage
Damage Restore MP - Restore MP base on damage taken
Ignore Reflect - Magic pierces through the 'Reflect' Status
Equip Ribbon - Able to equip Ribbon regardless of Job/Gender

Seems to be a suped up Red Mage for Humes

As far as the class itself does it doesn't seem that bad. Not terribly powerful but a decent all-rounder. Part of me is disappointed by the lack of Doublecast, but I imagine that would make the class too powerful. Wish they'd give us a release date for the game either way.

According to this 1up preview, it's scheduled for a Q1 release in North America. According to the search results on the site, that means February 1st.

I read the preview and I like the laws this time. You get rewarded for playing along instead of just punished for breaking them.

man.. i cant wait for this game to appear on the *cough*?legal?*cough* downloading system.. thank god i have an M3.. i already have like 30 games on there.. way more then the ds itself costs :p
