I'm not really fond of alot of animes, especially some of the more popular ones like Naruto and Inuyasha. But, out of the very few that I actually like I'd say Cowboy Bebop is definitely my favorite.
you should read the manga that the anime come from too. They change some things when the anime is made.

All subbed in english. When the anime is dubbed(translated) there are a lot of mistakes, so subbed is much better.

Gotta be Sailor Moon, especially the last season.
Bebop is my favorite. I could never find one flaw with the series. The entire thing was magnificent.
Paranoia Agent was another amazing one.
Though out of newer anime, Histories Strongest Disciple Kenichi (Which isn't liscenced right now) is definately looking amazing. 14 episodes in.
Sailor Moon (Sailor Venus especially), and Shin Chan (if you would call that an anime :tongue:)
Hmm... it's a toss up between the Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya and Genshiken. I think I'll have to go with Genshiken though, but by a VERY close margin.
Well, I'm gonna say Ergo Proxy at the moment, because I'm not really an anime fanatic.
But I very much enjoy FMA also. The plot & story is astounding.
As far as this year's releases go I would say Shonen Onmyouji has to be one of my favourites. *been into a big fantasy/spirits/exorcism/folklore -type anime lately*
I can't believe my favourite anime hasn't been mentioned yet - Neon Genesis Evangelion. I also liked Tenchi Muyo when it used to be aired on Cartoon Network adn Sailor Moon is my first anime. Oh look, I'm getting sentimental :cry:
It's really hard to choose. RahXephon and Cowboy Bebop are super awesome good, but if I could just pick one show to watch over and over again...

I rather enjoy Outlaw Star and every Tenchi series.
Psychotic took pleasure in closing my thread down, so I'll speak my thoughts here.
Gantz is good, the ending was a poor cliffhanger for the first season, but a couple of the deaths really do hurt you, I don't know why but I just felt like crying when I saw them die. It was emotional, intense and unexpected. They didn't hold back or refrain from anything, it was far from the perfect ending, but a more realistic one at best.

Tengen Toppa Gurren-Lagann is quickly becoming one of my favourites. I have said this a few times before, but each episode just gets better and better. I've been sitting on a post about it for quite some time, but I'm waiting for the show to end to gather some sensible thoughts about it. (Right now I'd just be sputtering nonsense out of sheer awe and adrenaline.) Super Robot fans, GAINAX fans, anime fans in general--look out for it.

Neon Genesis Evangelion is at the top of my list. Cowboy Bebop, Trigun, and FLCL are pretty close, though. I've got a special spot in my heart for Full Metal Alchemist, but it's definitely not one of the best I've seen (and after reading the manga religiously, it begins to pale in comparison).

I don't like anime series' that much, I prefer movies and manga.
It is pretty sick (by several definitions of the word). It was one of the very few shows of the summer season that caught my eye. It's a bit of a pain to have to pause to read the stuff on the chalkboards, but sometimes it's pretty funny. In one of the episodes there's a chalkboard reference to my current fave anime, Gurren-Lagann. ("Use your (moe) drill to break through the heavens!" Spoofs Lucky Star as well, but LuckyStar is faaar from my favourite.)Quote:
