Back in the early 90's who had the better cartoon show Mario or Sonic? I thought The Adventures of Sonic The Hedgehog was a LOT more entertaining than The Super Mario Bros. Super Show so Sonic has my vote.

Sonic cartoon was better. They're both great games though.

They're both totally awesome.
Sonic was probably a better cartoon than Mario, in my opinion.
But now they have an anime of Sonic and it sucks.
I hardly remember seeing the Mario show so Sonic gets my vote. Besides, I grew up with hte Sonic games :love:

Sonic. The Mario cartoon was horrible. The Sonic cartoon was actually well written for a kids cartoon at the time.
Mario is the better character but the sonic cartoon was better.

I saw an episode of Super Mario Bros 3 on TV the other day and frankly found it quite embarrassing to watch. AoStH on the other hand still makes me laugh. Besides, who could forget "If someone tries to TOUCH you in a place or a way that makes YOU feel uncomfortable, that's NO GOOD!"
Frankly I don't care for either franchise anymore, but Sonic having two crap series (Sonic X and Sonic Underground*) and two good ones (AoStH and that one everyone called SatAM) vs Mario having three series that just plain sucked (The Super Show, Super Mario Bros 3 and Super Mario World), I'd conclude that it's nil for Sonic, minus three for Mario. Sonic wins.
Oh wait, do we count those godawful cutscenes in Hotel Mario? No? Ah well. Sonic would still have won if we had :P
*Protip: Sonic Underground is a hell of a lot of fun to watch if you anticipate crap from the beginning, because then you laugh at how stupid it is.
As a child, I enjoyed the Mario cartoons more. However, as an adult, they're not so good anymore.
I recently decided to ruin my childhood memories and buy the Super Mario Bros Super Show on DVD. Big mistake. However, if you notice the end song.

putting cartoons aside,
I like the sonic games better, the music is better (specialy when looking at SA1 SA2 and SH) and the characters are just more intresting.
Oh and I like the saving the world type of game much better then, rescueing the princess again.
and since I cant really remember both cartoons, excpet the intro from sonic.

The Mario Cartoon was a giant piece of failure. Sonic easily wins.
I guess that's why they didn't make a new Mario cartoon series after Super Mario World. The third time wasn't the charm so they probaby gave up on making new Mario cartoons.Quote:
