Because she's just been leeching off her family, and showing off how rich she is. She had absolutely nothing but her money going for her, and that was the only reason anyone cared about her. Now that the money is gone, it just feels fair.

Paris Hilton has money. She's earned somewhere in the realm of $15 million in the last four years and still has a decent sum of money coming in from all of her business ventures, which do exist. The guy who is cancelling the inheritence had the same exact thing done to him when the original Hilton bit the dust, but he challenged the decision and won in court. He'll withdraw the cancellation after he realizes how stupid it is.
