Whats your favorite side dish?
Mine would be baked potatoes with sour cream and melted butter.
I never have side dishes when I make dinner for myself (which I usually do), but when I'm out I'll usually get stuff like mashed potatoes, macaroni, cheese fries, etc.
Hmm. Fries, I suppose. At least until someone comes up with a better suggestion for me to copy.
MASHED POTATOES.
French fries, made by Frenchie nom nom nom. :kaohappy:
Mashed Potatoes and fries and Mac & Cheese. And smooshing them all together.
Is that a side dish? I always thought that was more "part of a meal" thing. I figure the side dishes are the snacks you put on plates to the side. *dunno*
EDIT: Macaroni cheese is the main part of a meal, surely not a side dish... unless you're ordering pizza or somethin'.
A.. side dish? what is that? like something you order for extra in restaurants?
Chips, then. Its stingy when restaurants do that, though :p
FRIES! Then I can put them in my shake o:
The thing snoopy said sounds good. Usually..potato wedges with sour cream, or garlic bread ^^
side salad normally goes with my food. I don't mind eating like a rabbit.
Roast potatoes, or noodles, or onion rings! :jess:
Onion rings, hell yes. Garlic bread, too.
Mac & Cheese is a side dish, and will continue to be my favorite.
You weirdo! Most of the time the protein is the "main" part of the dish. Steak, fish, chicken, pork, burger, whatever. Anything else on the dish, potatoes, corn, asparagus, rice, is usually the side dish. At least in American cuisine.
If all you eat is mac and cheese, then that's the main meal. If you're eating fried chicken and mac & cheese, then the mac & cheese is the side dish.
Also, Sag Aloo. Potato and Spinach should not taste so good but IT DOES
A properly cooked macaroni cheese (which is a rarity, I must admit) would put any fried chicken to shame! You'll know a good macaroni cheese because it doesn't hold together well and often has small bits of ham/bacon/brocolli throughout. AND NO CHEDDAR. Ugh. I don't know much about cooking, but I know this!
Following the idea that whatever isn't over 90% meat is a side dish, though, I'll probably say that there are too many side dishes to choose from, although mashed potatoes would indeed be right up there.
Any form of potato.
Onion rings, closely followed by garlic bread and then finally french fries.
All too tasty for words, in my opinion
Salad.
Any kind of salad or vegetable.
I personally do not like Mashed Potato's. I have never seen the appeal :-\
Super Sayains are to good for mashed potatoes HAAAH?
