Terminator 2: Judgement Day was an awesome movie.
Go.
Yes, it is an awesome movie.
It's why Arnie is the govenator.
It's great, but I prefer the first film. T-1000 is one of the best movie villains ever though.
T2 is one of the best action movies ever...T1 was more of a sci-fi horror than action though.
Give it ahp for Ahnold!
And now... THE RAVINATOR!
No. There is one more left.
I'm a fan of the original Terminator as well, but T2 plays better than Terminator 1, and of course, had revolutionary special effects. Ahh, the day of special effects rather than multimillion dollar CGI to compensate for lazy people. How I miss those days.
Oh as for T2, it was totally pro.
Where is Sarah Connor?
When I was little, I made my dad rent this movie for me every time he rented movies.
I wonder why I didn't start this thread. Terminator 2 is the best movie of all time. Well, only if you have the Ultimate Edition which is more or less the whole movie, unlike what you saw in theaters where most of the important stuff is cut out. Then they released the Extreme DVD version which is still less than the Ultimate Edition, and the Ultimate Edition went out of print. I'm glad I have the Ultimate Edition.
But a note about Terminator 3: They originally asked James Cameron to do it and he said later. So then they went to Jonathan Mostow and he agreed to do it. If I were James Cameron, I would have rereleased Terminator 2 with the original ending, thus making Terminator 3 impossible. Because Jonathan Mostow knew nothing of Terminator and it shows in his movie.
If you've never seen the original ending of Terminator 2, then you should look it up on YouTube or something. I'm on dialup, so I'm not going to find it for you. But I'll give you an idea...There was no judgment day.
"i told you not to kill anyone!!!"
"he'll live"
@ ceej i just read you sig, funniest damn thing i read this week!!!
Thanks. But you know I've had that sig for a while, right?
Yeah, the Arnie switch from antagonist to protagonist (smurf John, the Terminator is the main character) was a great move.
Did you guys see the Universal Studios version of this? The Terminator and John keep travelling back and forth through time and don't end up losing their clothes, weapons or motorbike. What a gip! (but it's still pretty cool)
Cam with me if yoo waant to live!
get yah ass to mahs
wait..
I need you clothes, your boots, and your motorcycle.
It's not a tumah!
The universal studios version would've been much funnier had they lost their clothes, in my opinion.
My second favourite action movie ( Aliens being the first ). I missed Linda Hamiltons big 80's fro from the original though.
T2 is the best action movie ever. End of story.
There is no discussion to be had in this thread. T2 is a great movie, discussion is over. xD
Yes, T2 is a great movie. Changing Big A from an antagonist to one of the protagonists was a nice move as mentioned in this thread, and Arnold managed to deliver some of his funniest and coolest lines ever. Sarah Connor had some nice character development, and T-1000 was a great menace (gotta love those effects). All in all the story was exciting, a great thrill ride, but it managed to keep its emotional core with it, and that farewell scene is still quite heartbreaking. The score, apart from the main theme, wasn't that memorable, unfortunately, but at least the main theme got to shine in many important spots and was effective in that way. But yeah, T2's easily the best Terminator movie so far. :)
