It became excess, just like a lot of the other one-book stuff Rowling invented, Philiospher's Stone, Chamber of Secrets, etc, etc...

The cup was a portkey, right ? So when Harry touched it to get back to Hogwarts it must have stayed on the graveyard with Voldie's minions who used it for their weird stuff later.
Left in the field before the maze. Harry dropped it while being carried by Mad-Eye.

The books never say what happened to it, but since Harry never see's it again I just thought it was in the trophy room. (Cause I dont think he ever goes in there after GoF).

Anybody else find it odd that they've got a bunch of barriers and charms up so people can't apparate or disapparate in Hogwarts, and yet portkeys still work and Sirius was able to talk to Harry via floo powder?
