theres something to discuss?
The £ > all though, so we win
Yeah it's a pretty big economic *kaboom*
Yeah the pound is above all. 2x our dollar.
I have like £30 i've been holding onto for a year and a half now waiting for the time to convert them to massive us monies.
I kinda wish I would've invested in canadian money now.
Woo-hoo!Darn, if only I was going to the US sometime soon. :(
Depends on where you live really...And how fast you drive.
Canada is still a colony of England. Why the fail? =(
It isn't. Canada was a dominion but even that status has changed and I think you're simply a member of the Commonwealth with a shared head of state (Elizabeth II).
It's been the two dollar pound for quite some time now. I think the highest I've seen it go (from watching Newsnight's currency market bit at the end) was about £1 = $2.05.
Canada here I come!
This is so shameful :(
What has science done? :(
At least we're still better at killing the poor with our lack of national health coverage. :monster:
Buy us bacon then.
I didn't know that yet, but I'm sort of pleased, since I'm Canadian and all. Finally we get a turn to enjoy being the leader of North American monetary value!
Still, I've heard some mixed reviews from our standpoint. This may prove to provide new challenges our economy as well.
Oh noes! Now I can't tease my Canadian friends about their funny money anymore ?
What is the world getting to ? ;)
Just because their money is worth more doesn't mean they don't still have flappy heads.
Damn, Canada's not far from my school. Shoulda invested, I need more money.
This means Americans will be less likely to visit Canada, much as has happened in Europe. And despite the weakening dollar, the average US citizen still holds a great deal of wealth and there's a good amount of income to be had with tourists.
This is good news. Now I can shop the whole continent at par and get a ton of selection. :)
I'd blame Canada for this but... well it just seems too obvious.
The norwegian krone is stronger than the swedish krone and has been that way for a few years now :D Denmark, you're next~! The country, not the member. or maybe the member too!
I've always known Canada could do it. They're bigger and on top. It's just a fact of life really.
Not too long ago the Canadian dollar was almost equal the the NZ dollar. Now it's worth way more. Crazy fresh.
Money is no object if you steal things. ;[
nah, Canadia already overtook me.
but as of right this second, according to XE.com, 1 CAD = 0.999151 USD. hooray, the USD is worth more again!
you should've bought a ton of canadian money mike! Maybe I should buy some NZ$
I totally should have. I could've almost doubled my monies. The NZ dollar has been getting stronger against the US dollar recently but it might have levelled out a bit now. :p
it can't really go anywhere but up though! how does nz$ compare to uk£?
Wow, what a difference. American dollar 1 vs Canadian dollar 1.0022. You would have to buy a lot of Canadian dollars just to make a one dollar profit :p
[q=rubah]it can't really go anywhere but up though! how does nz$ compare to uk£?[/q]
Not as low as it has been, but not at all close in value. 1 GBP is about 2.75 NZD.
