I've been noticing a whole lot of closed threads here in GC.
Give me one reason for a thread -
which SHOULDN'T
be started - because it would be closed
and/or discuss each other's reasons.
And go!

I've been noticing a whole lot of closed threads here in GC.
Give me one reason for a thread -
which SHOULDN'T
be started - because it would be closed
and/or discuss each other's reasons.
And go!
This seems to be a prime example. :D
A thread that highly encourages flame posts either directly or indirectly wouldn't be a good thread to make (I'm kind of suprised but glad that the positive/negative comment thread isn't closed).
Because I have cancer.
A thread asking, "Do you like me? Do you reeeeally like me?"
No one cares about your self-esteem!
hahahahahahaha
Anything that has an interesting enough title to be a necromancy magnet.
Asking Tavrobel for help.
The bloke in the pipe.
One's discussing the awesomeness of Hitler.
CLICK ON THIS THREAD FOR FEE PORN!!!!
Fee porn????? Damnit! I only like the free stuff!
I did a thread discussing the emo-ness of Hitler...would that be you referencing it Harle-quin?
a thread entitled " how NOT to start a thread (Split infinitives slay me)"
lol :P jk
"you wanna meet hot babes near you?"
Well i have wanted to make a thread called "101 final fantasy VI inuendos"
And a subsequent thread in the rest of the ff forums
But i decided against it
Thats not really GC though
??? they can do that?! omg
how does that =
It seems to me it's a variation on the same joke...
but on topic: one thing not do is talk about yourself or others overly purposefully - speaking of which - what's up with the "say something positive and negative" thread. It seems to me that by, the old standards of CK and Admin conduct, that would have been closed.
then again, this would be closed too! :D :D :D
yea, well, they dont like me there anymore cuz i actually posted. :\ and a thread called omg would make me read on past it
Yeah - I think the point of this forum is more intelligent discussion, so even though spamming is fun, it would sort of hinder the so-called "good threads."
So basically if you want to spam, or read spam, I would suggest hanging out on another forum during those "spammy" periods and return here when you're ready to be serious and composed.
But then again, the forum, all members and indeed staff, will enjoy letting loose from time to time and encouraging a bit of friendly joking, whether that be through changing thread titles or making the sometimes slightly iffy thread.
Please note that this is my personal opinion, and in no way reflects anyone's else's as far as I know.
If you want to ask the staff about what is or isn't "spam" here please ask them, not me. ;)
But thanks for the replies though!
We're getting a bit off-topic though, so please everyone enough chatting, let's get back to examples of why not to start a thread.
(yay split infinitives!)
What'd I miss?
lol. if you started a thread with "so, like, yea, ...."
hahaha lol agreed
lol. percentages are a suck way to start, or any math for that matter
Here's part of the 4%!
edit: Actually it might be part of the 75%. :p
