Remakes of Songs

I found this version of Umbrella by McFly on YouTube

I don't really like the pop-remakes, but the pop-to-rock ones are generally pretty cool. This one isn't bad. The lyrics isn't the most appropriate for most guys though.

the ataris boys of summer is good and mandy moores umbrella is good.

i think that the one I posted is really good.
I dont like the original. but since listening to that one I cant get the song out of my head

I generally don't mind covers except for "dance" versions of rock/metal songs. It totally rapes kills them.

I like Aiden's cover of White Wedding.
Very well done IMO.

I like the McFly version better than the original. And that's saying a lot since I smurfing hate McFly. :mad2:

I'm also possibly the only person who prefers the Pet Shop Boys version of You Were Always On My Mind.

I really like Killswitch Engage's cover of Dio's "Holy Diver". Hell, KsE's video to the song is a parody the original video to the same song. I'm telling you, if anyone would parody the original video to a song they covered, it's Killswitch Engage. I'll bet you their guitarist, Adam Dutkiewicz, talked the band into that; he's the clown of that band. I know this because I actually met him after a show.

I'm down with covers. I'm especially fond of my husband's band's cover of "Rainbow in the Dark."

I like Bowling for Soup's cover of 1985 by SR-71, it actually improved the song.

I hate Ashley Tisdale's version of Kiss the Girl. The video to it is on the Platinum Edition DVD release of The Little Mermaid. =(

I don't like the song but McFly did a better job than Rhianna. I don't like McFly either, though.

I love Rihanna's version of Umbrella. (Oh wait, it's her song! xP) But there have been some good covers of it, like this one by...Oh my gosh, I forgot his name, but I really liked his version if it! xD

Also, which video is better? I can't decide...
