Heute ist mein Tag!
I've seen German pop up in ALOT (read: 2) of topic titles and wanted to jump on the band wagon. So if you could spend one day in a foreign city, where would you go?
I'd like to either go to Barcelona and see the running of the bulls or go to Okinawa and yell "Shiisa yaibami!" at every chance possible.
-
I'd go to Tokyo, most definetly. I wouldn't be able to talk much, but I'd run around like the crazy gaijin I am, and scare eveyone <3
-
I spent a week in Berlin and can't wait to go back. Never got to tour potsdam.
We went to this hostel and all we ate was from the fast food place across the road, amazing pizzas for something like 2 euro, and every shop and chip shop sells beer!
-
Kyoto. I want to see Gion, even though not many maiko are still there nowadays.
-
what does shiisa yaibani mean? i would go to vienna. such music and war history there. i wanna see the art school hitler so desperately tried to get into. loser. he sucks at life.
-
I'm going to be a standard nerd and say Tokyo. I can pretend I'm in Lost in Translation as I've always wanted. That'll make me fit in a lot.
-
-
Paris! Just so much to do. :D
-
oh, yea. the redlight district. lol id like a #7 and a #4 lol jk
-
-
brandenburg ... that sounds so weird saying its a brisge or a city or w/e cuz its my friends last name lol
-
-
hahahaha lol. i hope you are not insinuating that you are going to be violent sir
-
Rome. Venice, Florance, anywhere in Italy, really.
-
OMG Secret Nazi Forest!
Ya, anyways. I wanna go to Berlin again, but more than that I'd really like to tour Europe. If I only had the money...
Also it'd be nice to go to Japan and find an excuse to say "Don't worry about it, all us white boys look alike. We can't tell each other apart."
-
Blackpool, UK. Not all that foreign but at least I can speak the language :jess:
-
Only one day? I don't know, can't decide! Maybe a nice beachy city in Hawaii and just spend the day chillin' ^_^ I've always wanted to go to Hawaii~
-
Tokyo because ive always wanted to go somewhere thats different to everywhere else;)
-
Berlin, Moscow, Prague and Kyoto are all cities I certainly wouldn't object to visiting. All are places were I could suitably go into history nerd mode and enjoy myself that way and places like Prague and Berlin have always seemed like attractive cities to visit. I speak a bit of German, so I could justify a trip on those grounds.
Kyoto was recommended to me by a friend who recently came back from a several week-long trip in Japan. He said that it would be a city that I'd enjoy visiting and, having done a bit of research into it, it doesn't half seem nice.

Whatever town Hot Fuzz was set in. Or Oslo. Or Tokyo. Or Amsterdam. Or Bangkok. Or Kuala Lampur.
