What's this got to do with smartivity? These images simply provide us with enough information to calculate depth, unlike still images.

Stereoscopy is better if you use your own eyes to produce the effect rather than the gif trick.
Too bad I can't post an example, all the stereoscopy images on my computer would likely get me arrested.

You have to actually change the angle between the shots for the effect, I think, something similar to the angle between your eyes line of sight. They're pretty cool though. Some people in the color_theory lj community do these every now and then.

The refresh rate on the images isnt high enough...it looks too flickery. Having said that some of them do look 3D-ish.
