Hair huddle, hair huddle!

This topic is presented to you by a vain bored 17 year old female who wants to chop a good portion of her hair off because she's, well, bored of having such long hair.

However, she is afraid that she'll look fat with such a hair style. Is it true that short hair makes you look fatter?

And for those who have seen this dear Ryechu, please, which hair style would suit her better?

Keep in mind that her hair color will probably be the same, but if it's change, it'll be given red highlights, or will be dyed a natural reddish-brown color. Also, she is a hair retard who is used to only straightening her hair and some blow drying and has a hard time styling her hair, so which one of those looks easier to maintain?

I like the 2nd haircut in your post better. The first is too plain.

I'm considering that too, but I'm afraid I'll have too hard of a time maintaining curly hair, and I'll end up make it look all nasty. ;;

Get it cut, fair shout, but don't get it cut short. It wouldn't suit you.

From what I can tell, you haven't got the right head shape for it. I dunno if it would suit the rest of your body or your fashion sense, but I doubt it. Your hair needs to be past your shoulders to suit you proper, though any length past that is fine.

Head on pictures are always better for this sort of thing though, so I suggest one of them if you want a better opinion.

My friend's ex looked like a fatty when she cut her hair, but she was a fatty anyway so it wasn't much of a change.

You'd probably look fine with it short if that what you want to do.

Rye's pretty self conscious so the word 'fat' isn't going to help. Neither will it for this following poast:

my ex that all of you know about is pretty darn fat (try 2x rye's weight from what I can tell), so when she cut her hair really short it was terrifying and terrible.

I cut my hair short and regretted it. I now want it long, it's taking forever to grow back :(

It didn't make me look any chubbier than normal, though, idk. I always have had a round baby face, though.

Long hair ftw. I once had my hair cut short, never again.

It suits people with thick hair who can take time to style it and make it look good, but if you have fine hair I'd suggest staying away from it. Long hair is pretty, and it suits you. If you want a change, why don't you keep it long but get it cut to your shoulders or something?

i cut my hair short, and i looked like a dike O.o i hated it. mines kinda med-long now. maybe if you get a medium length cut with a razor, kinda choppy with a couple of layers (choppy w/ razor of course)and choppy diagonal bangs, that would kick @$$. thats how i wanna do mine, but its not miltary regulation ;-; and all you would have to do is straighten eacher layer sepereate and maybe scrunch the top up (but your face is long so im not sure if thatll look right on you) and voila! instant sexiness :love:

Of the two short hairstyles, I like the blonde shorter one more, but the problem is that while her face is heart shaped and cute for it, my face is longer and narrow (it's oval shape), like a John Kerry joke.

This is my face straight on in the attached pic. With my fat pigtail buns. :3 It's an icky picture, but my hair is out of my face so it'll be more accurate.

While I am male (which probably makes the situation different, but whatever), I always miss my hair when I cut it short and end up growing it back out (which is the great part about hair--it grows back).

Anyway, if you really want to cut your hair short, go for it. Short hair can be just as attractive as long hair. I'm pretty terrible at visualizing changes to peoples' appearance, so I can't really fit you with long hair, but I definitely think the second image you posted in the initial post is a better cut.

Do whatever you want. I always get crap from my friends when I cut my hair (the girls threatened to hurt me), but I do it anyway because, ultimately, it is my hair to do with as I wish. If you really want to cut your hair, don't let people here deter you. If you decide you don't like it, you don't have to keep it that way forever. =D

Srsly though, you know what I think, Rye. And ultimately, no matter how much ryesearch you do into this matter, the only person who can decide what to do with your hair is you. You must be willing to take a chance, if you do want to cut it! Even if it doesn't suit you fantastically you might recall that hair will grow back. :3

I like the first blonde picture of the short hair pictures, but your hair is beautiful. I use to have such long hair and I had it cut to my shoulders. I now regret that so badly because I'm still trying to grow mine back and after three years I'm nowhere near it. :(
