Favourite Chocobo onomatopoeia?

I prefer "Wark!".

How about you?

(As Kawaii Ryûkishi has pointed out, "Kweh!" is what it's always been in Japanese... "Kue" to be exact. A dummied out dialogue box in the U.S. SNES ROM of Final Fantasy III also contains "Kue!")

Kweh makes absolutely no sense, I mean ho matter how many times I say kweh it just doesn't sound like a chocobo, or any form of bird for that matter. Sounds more like a foreign version of "HUH!?"

So, wark.

I thought Wark was perfect, no idea why they decided to go with Kweh after that tho

It's always been kweh (or "ku-eh") in the Japanese games.

I think kweh sounds cooler.

I would have to go with wark simply cos I love the sound the chocobos make in VII, they sound so pissed off, lol! Especially when you're racing and you try push past the other birds they're like WARK! WARK! like they're swearing at you in chocobo language :-D

It was the sound they made in the SNES "Final Fantasy II" version. I can't recall what it was in Final Fantasy Chronicles and Final Fantasy IV Advance, though.

All real Chocobos know Kweh is the only correct answer.

Wark matches the sound they make in FF7.

"kweh" sounds the most natual, so I'll go with that, "Wark" sounds more like what someone doing Chocobo, impersinations would do...

I prefer "Wark", 'cause if you read it the way you'd normally read it in Polish (so more like "Vark"), you'd get an onomatopeia of a dog growling :D

I go with kweh. It sounds like something a bird in real life would say.

Kweh also sounds amusing. I actually say it out loud randomly sometimes.

Kweh is more fun to say, though it doesn't sound like a chocobo to me :p
