that was freakin hilarious! I haven't done any stand-up fighting, but I had some Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu a long time ago.
I did karate when I was younger and I also did kickboxing for a while. :jess:
I misread that as kiss ya ass and I was wondering when SammieBabe got back :(
Put yo ass down on the floor before I Kung Fu yo ass.
I'm taking a Chinese boxing class but it's sort of a joke :p
I took Shorin Ryu karate and Eagle Claw kung fu briefly before. Not long enough to learn anything useful really.
kickboxing for 8 years. A friend tried to teach me some basic karate recently and it was so boring i gave up after a week.
I used to take kung fu for about 6 years. I still remember every form, even my first and favorite The Shaolin dragon form.
It's funny how alot of chinese martial arts stereotypes are so true. xD
I remember the first time sensei told us we have to make noises while punching for both chi and air-breathing balance.

It's 'pull out all your pubic hair' actually. Never misquote the D! ;)
Never done any karate or self-defense class, but I know some people who have; someone I know is even qualified to teach it. Although now they've both put it on the backburner now. Shame. :(
When i was in karate i beat up a kid who was half my size for my white belt. But revenge is a b**ch. He challenged me to a rematch and i was pwned. I then surrendered my belt and walked out of the dojo w/ my head down trying to hide the tears back...
Going to have to agree with Slayer...karate is pretty useless other then teaching kids important lessons early in life. MMA is where it is at for practical needs and most entertaining
Any Martial Art can be scary, even Karate.
Though I'm interested in learning Capaeira (sp?) some day. Maybe some Tai Chi and Jujutsu.
Of Course a bit of Kick Boxing could be fun.
I took Tae Kwon Do and Karate for a while, and learned how to use the Katana quite well.
I also self-taught (through books and videos, etc) myself how to use Tai Chi sword.
I took Karate for years. Until I broke my palm. After recovery I just stopped going back to Karate.
I have done boxing, jujitsu and tai chi in that order for a while.
I still kick ass, though no longer practice.
I took judo a few years ago, but then we moved away and I had to stop.
I once took a lesson of martial arts, but we were all bowing on a floor many many shoeless and sockless people had walked upon recently. That turned me off.
