Orange Box. If you don't already have Half-Life 2 and Episode 1 then you get five of the best games ever made in one package. If you do have those, then you still get three of the best games ever made in one package. The Orange Box is worth it for any single game in the package alone, so you're getting the best value in the history of gaming with it.
oo, i always wanted to play half life 1 and 2, how much the box worth?
I think Orange Box retails for $50. I would also recommend Call of Duty 4 which is a pretty high-spec game as well.
If you get Steam, you can download both of them (as well as tons of other games they carry).
Gears of war.
thats for pc too!?!?, awesome that game should be 30 bucks by now
Go for it.
It actually just came out for PC and is still in the $50 range. I think even the original 360 version is still at its original retail launch price.
However the PC version does pack quite a few extras and it's a great game anyway, so it'd probably be worth the price.
oblivion is really good and long
I'll second Oblivion. Also Heroes of Might and Magic 5, and Sam and Max Season 1. You can get an absolutely free, full-length version of one of the six episodes in Sam and Max Season 1 here from the company that made it (click here).
Grim Fandango! :D
Uh... Bioshock? I think Assassin's Creed is coming out for PC next year? Crisis? Unreal Tournament 3 will be out soon if not already.
I dunno, what computer specs do you have anyway?
Warhammer 40: Dawn of War/Winter Assault/Dark Crusade and, when it comes out next year, Soulstorm.
hmm thanks you guys!
so far im getting the orange box, and gears of war for sure :)
ill have to look at the other choices, and thanks vincent for that link :)
ill post my specs another time :p
Guild Wars Nightfall.
:3
The sims 2. *fail*
F.E.A.R., S.T.A.L.K.E.R., Gears Of War as said, Guild Wars is fun :p Dawn of War is fun, the half-lifes are good, also Shadow Run if you have vista.
dang half life 1 isnt included? =/ i already saw a special for them on black friday for $25
yes i have a vista, my specs are....
2 gigs for ram
and the processor is an AMD athlon 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 5000+ 2.60 GHz anything else you wanna know just ask :)
EDIT: is there a chance theres a half life 1 orange box?
No, you gotta pick up like 3 gamesto get caught up with the Orange Box :p
If you pay the $10 for HL1, you also get Counter-strike 1.6, HL: Blue Shift, HL: Opposing Force, TF1, Day of Defeat, plus countless other unofficial free mods (including the fantastic Sven Coop). It's a solid buy.
edit: whoops, posted from allie's account on accident - Hsu
Baldur's Gate II: Shadows of Amn
The Sims 2

BattleField 2 is fun as hell.
How about KOTR and KOTR2? Have they been mentioned?
ooo i forgot about those
but in the meantime i bought the orange box today for $25
i just wanna play HL1 first
To get HL1 plus all the perks, download Steam, create an account (which you'll have to do for The Orange Box anyway) and go to the shop section to download it.
It's a pretty old game (it came out in 1997) but it's still pretty fun and a good value.
THE SIMS 2!!!!
Ohh, and if you like these kinds of games, you should download Stepmania!
Bioshock will be nice.
The good:
Absolutely amazing atmosphere and visual design with the technical prowess to back it all up.
Lots of character customization options to play around with.
Great voice cast really sells the storyline.
I find it from a review site.
BioShock (pc: 2007): Reviews
And I find that a recent deal for it is $50.
BioShock
What graphics card do you have? That's pretty important in knowing what games you can run.
