Dude, I invented this!

Oh yeah, all you kiddies out there who chat like crazy with complete strangers. Ha. You ask a question everytime don't you? It's known as ASL. Age. Sex. Location. Hahaha. I invented that. So everytime you ask someone or get asked you will now think "Oh my, MKusanagi invented that!"

Anyways, so this thread isn't closed. Must ask a discussion question on ASL. Who still does that? Doesn't it feel kinda weird? Like, ohhhh man wheres this gonna go??? *giggles* Interesting experiences with ASL are encouraged.

I'm not sure about my first time in a chatroom.

it was either on the arkansans for drug free youth (adfy) website where I used the nick *sniped* but no one was on and I wondered why it didn't work

or it was at talkcity.com (advertised on nbc heavily that year!) in one of the star wars rooms (#Star_Wars-Naboo_Swamp perhaps or #Star_Wars-Jedi_Temple). I remember vividly getting to pick my own nick (You could be a senator a queen, a jedi a darth etc) which was senatorkitten. Man and the day I asked my mom if I could sign up because clinton had recently passed the coppa stuffs and I wouldn't be 13 for another MILLENNIUM (literally kinda) and she said yes!

I spent many hours in those rooms :|||||| (my primeval newbie stage)

I was always afraid to answer an a/s/l truthfully because truthfully I was afraid of having a stigma of youth attached to my frame, even though I'm sure most chatters mainly ignored me.

I didn't invent AOL chatrooms. But I was there when they first began. And like a heroic figure of internet courage I said "Thou shalt have no other chat room hero than me for I have gifted you with ASL." and the chatters wept in happiness and jumped for joy. " A true hero of the internet chat atlast!" they all cried in teary-eyed wonder. That's the story and that is what you shall tell your children so they can tell their children and so on and so forth.
