So you know how you can ask to be unbanned after 2 years of being banned if all of the staff approve of your return? How hard do you think it is to get the whole staff's approval?

I suppose that depends on whether or not you ticked off certain staff members and whether or not they're still staff.
good news to those banned by levian and necronopticous
People who were a constant problem and aggravation to us are pretty much guaranteed to not get back in. Accidental porn posters have a reasonable chance. If a staffer happens to observe someone at another forum posting fairly well, that helps their chances.
I think it'd depend on what you did.
I doubt they'd let a person back who went "lol porn" all over the place.
Maybe the people who had two accounts would have a chance.
@Voidy: People "accidently" put porn up? xD
Depends how hard it is for you to wine me and dine me. Blah blah sexual favours etc.
i never understood what cookies are. when people ban me, i just make another account and act totally different so they dont know its me. after a while, when i feel safe, i start to slowly act normal again. lol.
Don't worry, everyone. I've got this one.
I really hope it isn't that hard...
If it is then there's no point in that rule.
From what I understand an outgoing IP Address is very hard to change. Now I'm not a Computer Wiz, so I'm sure someone here will come and tell me I'm wrong and provide a way.
To be honest, I think the two years are a test. If you can quiet down, calm down, not annoy the staff with second accounts, and request an appeal two years later, then I think the staff will see you are sincere on your desire to return.
The IP address could give you away if you have a static IP address. However, you could be legitimately sharing an IP with another person, like if you post from the same school or something like that.
Depending on your ISP, you could be having a dynamic IP, which means you get a randomly assigned IP address each time you connect to the internet. It's common for dial up connections, but it can be done for DSL or cable connections too.
It depends on how much of a jerk you were and how much of your jerkiness could be attributed to age or situation. If a 14 year old busts up in here with bullcrap and gets banned but shows back up as an awesome, thoughtful, rule-abiding 16 year old we're more likely to let them back.
I guess older members have a worse chance of making it back then...
I really hope that staff members don't ban members like that thinking they're second accounts. It'd really suck and be unfair to those members (especially for siblings and couples).
I think if there was a difference in our IP it'd be due to the fact I'm on a wireless laptop and he's on a desktop, but in cases like Mirage says with school wide things, I'm not sure. I'm pretty sure that wireless assigns another IP, so the only time it'd be the same is if I plugged my computer in with an ethernet cord through the router and made them BOTH lan connected.
Too late for explanations. We'll have to ban you now.
Internally in your house's network, you'll all have a different IP, but this is an internal IP, just for the computers in your house to be able to communicate. Your entire home network is identified on the internet with a single IP address, that will be the same for every user on the home network.
I don't want any of them back, so as long as I'm still on staff your supposed "heroes" aren't getting a ticket back.
Two years seems a bit of a long time, I expect many people would have forgotton about EOFF after that long.
I LET NO ONE UNBAN EVER
O.o
Why would they return after finally escaping eoff's hellish grip ?!
Yamaneko could provide us with the cure for cancer or advise us of how he actually is a terrorist plotting to destroy [something] in the staff forum and we'd probably just laugh and say "Oh, that Yams!" and assume it was just him pulling his usual antics.
As for what you need to do in order to get the okay - I would hope that it's kind of obvious, really. I mean, you guys can probably guess which of the banned members we'd let back in and be right on at least 95% of the occasions, if not 100%.
Depends on what you did and how sincere you really sound. I think I'd instantly regret it and learn my lesson if I was banned here, so 2 years would not be very nice. :(
I am a second account. Or, atleast I was until BoB merged both of my accounts together. I had forgotten I had another account. :jess:
If you get banned, I think it depends what for, and how much you've changed since your banning which decides whether or not they will let you back on EoFF~
I can most assuredly tell you that if you were banned and created a second account that I had to ban that you will never be unbanned.
When I was an Admin on GFF I never unbanned people and downed the idea. I got joy each and every time I hit the confirm on a ban. :radred:
I doubt I would ever be unbanned if the time arose that I ever happened to be struck by the ban hammer.
So then I would simply become a zombie and rise again as multiple accounts.
