General Chat Forum?

so...doesnt general mean like...anything? ya know....general chat....so how come if you speak of something that isnt some random fact of life in this forum IT GETS MOVED.........general covers a lot of stuff... not just random facts of life...opinions

I'm very, VERY tempted to move this thread to Feedback.

General Chat is a last resort forum, not your first port of call. Check to see if we have a more specific forum dedicated to your thread topic, and if we don't, GC's the place to come. Otherwise what's the point in having our Gaming forums?

Yes, it is for general things. For specific things, there are forums with more informative words in the title or description, such as "Gaming" or "Help" or "Final Fantasy VII." :monster:

General Chat? You mean people still use that outdated system?

General Chat is for everything that can't be discussed in one of the 20 or so forums below.

Eyes on Each other is where your stuff gets moved, other than that FF thread, which you know, went to one of the MANY FF forums.

General chat has less strict rules, meaning if your topics where left here, they would get pointless spam that would eventually make the good topic get closed.


EoEo is a good place for your threads due to the fact that people have inteligent conversations, and the one's that go to EoEo to talk normally want to say something more than a three word sentence.

General's for things like "What kind of ice cream do you like?!" or "Dude, I saw this car, talk about that!" whereas EoEo is a good place for well.. your suicide thread, and various threads that talk about more serious matters than ice cream or cars. :)

If you wanna talk about FF, just scroll down, there's -alot- of forums. And not to mention, there's a general gaming forum, which means even if General Chat was for "general" things, there's clearly a more specific forum for "general" gaming talk.

Although, Patton is pretty cool.

We like calling this place general chat, it sounds better then, Forum for anything else that doesn't fit somewhere else.
