Well? Am I, punk?
Just in case this needs a better topic:
Have you ever instantly "known" where someone was from by the way they walk, talk, or generally act?
Tell us about it.

I'd much rather talk about the fact your a dirty stinking Canadian waste of space.
But no, I can't really tell myself from the way they talk.
Yes you are...because I said so.
Also, no.
Aren't you English or something?
I can tell when people are from Newfoundland, but they can't tell that I'm from Newfoundland.
Well yeah a lot of Newfoundland accents are pretty distinctive...and I say a lot because there are so many..it's weird since it's such a small place.
I can pick out tourists, but the funny thing about foreigners, is that when we (Brits) are on holiday, they can't pick us out. A couple of times in France, some French people have come up to my dad, and tried to start a conversation (sell something, ask for directions etc) and one time in Cyprus, my mum was mistaken for a Cypriot.
I cant tell a South African the moment he/she/it opens his/her/its mouth. I have also developed a skill that allows me to weed out Long Islanders. :excited:
All I can do is guess and then I'm usually wrong.
Nope :(
I can usually tell when someone is from the Southern USA or from Europe. Specific accents, no, but I can come vaguely close.
I KNEW IT QUIN, YOU'RE A CANUK! :jess:
Is that cause all newfies know each'oder?
Most people pin me right away because I apparently drop my 'R's. I never notice anyone else as coming from a certain place... I'm not that observant I guess.
Denmark is basically divided into three different regions: Jylland (where I live), Fyn and Sjælland. Each region comes with a very strong dialect of the Danish language, and so it's always pretty easy to distinguish between people and where they come from.
These Spaniards were talking in Spanish Spanish, it didn't sound Mexican so I knew something was up. I asked one of them where they were from and my prediction was correct. I could understand regardless, there accent was too thick.
