Probably a good thriller of some sort. Action, horror, psychological. I need to be on the edge of my seat usually. My entertainment attention span has dwindled over the years. Thought I have been known to get into quirky WTF movies like Brick and Donnie Darko and stuff
comedy .... a good one that means no jimmy fallon no steve carrolelel or any other dumbass.
good stuff like classic adam sandler or jay and silent bob
Action/Adventure.
i.. dont know
ill just pick my fav.. thriller/action/adventure/comedy/drama(but in a male way.. not the mushy stuff)
anything i left out would not be seen by me.. like horror.. except for the resident evil series.. maybe horror should be included as well xD
I don't know. It really depends on my mood and what I feel like watching. If I'm in the right mood even porn is a good genre, y'know :)
I like movies that have cute animals, cute girls, and happy endings; usually they're fairy tales. :snowgirl:
yeah yeah, i love psychological horror thrillers.
I can't think of a single favourite genre, but I can think of a single most hated genre - lameass chick flicks! There seems to be at least one new one every month but every one I've seen has the same generic storyline where the girl meets the guy, screws up a bit, ends up with the guy in the end and everybody's happy... BORING...
Buddy cop movies!
Great examples will feature Jackie Chan, Harrison Ford or Will Smith
I like a good Grindhouse horror movie, but I particularly enjoy movies that are very sensational, something that assaults your senses. Like Requiem For A Dream, or a David Lynch movie (obviously not Dune or anything like that, stuff like Eraserhead). This can be any genre really, but I find that it mostly falls into the thriller/drama genre.
Also, a dumb, explosive action flick every now and then is good for switching your brain off for a bit.
I think horror just might be my favourite though.
80's action movies. Just saying action movies would mean I condone the tripe that they call action movies today.
I don't care as long as they have a nice story
Horror !!!!!
Everything from the Asian stuff like Ringu or A Tale of Two Sisters to zombiemovies of all sorts (but esp. Romero and Fulci), trashy B-Movie splatter (Troma !), Cannibal flicks and horror comedy (not Scary Movie like, more Braindead or Army of Darkness)
Although I don't watch most of the Hollywood teen slashers or remakes of Asian movies
But it's not like I limit myself to horror movies, in fact my favorite movie at the moment is 12 Angry Men and I enjoy watching action/comedy/sci-fi movies as well
I normally stick with Comedies and Action.
Though a branch out fairly often for Shows like Silence of the Lambs and Sweeney Todd.
I really love comedy! Comedies are always a great way to laugh, and feel good about life! Except gross-out humor, that really isn't my cup of tea.
But I also love horror movies, even if they do scare the shiz out of me!
I'm also into dramas and tearjerkers. Y'know, the kind where you're left at the end of the film misty-eyed/tearing/bawling. Love those!
Depends on what I feel like watching. I may watch Resident Evil today, Miss Congeniality by the afternoon and High School Musical at night. I love watching movies.
I like action and commedy movies.
1) The Professional
2) Die Hard
3) Lethal Weapon i like this movies.
I guess action flicks are my favorite. I don't like horror movies because they're gross, comedies aren't really that interesting, romances are dumb.
Also mind-job movies, you know the kind that blow your mind. I don't know what other kind of genre they would fit in
I don't know, something offbeat, I guess. It's hard to come up with a particular genre. Great films usually transcend genre.
Horror (psychological thriller, stalk 'n' slash, etc), sci-fi and fantasy tend to be my main three :D
British (or just dark) comedy, dramas, action... they're all good as well :3
Anything like Kill Bill or Pulp Fiction..
I agree with everything scrumpleberry said. :p
