Bonus points if you can tell me what episode that's from.

I'm a simpsons fanatic. Not as fanatical as my kid brother; he's like #7 or higher on facebook's simpsons quiz. I've also refused (boycotted) simpsons season 18 and 19 but I do watch 20 now that the movie came out to revitalize my malaise.

What about you? For a tv show that has spanned nearly two decades, everybody who is somewhat familiar with north america knows of the simpsons, and probably is a fan. How much of a fan are you? Would you say he was the ultimate super hero?

Bonus points if you know what the question before this sentence refers to.

I'll watch it on occasion but I wouldn't call myself a fan, more of a "enjoy it when I catch it on tv" kind of guy.

Yeah I was pretty heavily into The Simpsons back in the day. Haven't really cared since about Season 11 or 12 though.

The Simpsons was great. Unfortunately bad episodes now outnumber the good ones. The movie was rubbish too.

its my favorite show. the first 10 seasons were the best but i do enjoy the last 10 as well. im a big fan of the show i have simpsons games, books, toys, dominos, dvd's and so much more i cant even think of.

Nothing beats old-school Simpsons, no question. But those new ones are pretty cringeworthy. I notice there's quite an emphasis on Homer being put through the motions of "get hurt, scream hysterically, get hurt, scream hysterically". Or so I see it.

The older episodes are the better ones. Newer ones are cut down in order to make room for more commercial time and feel too rushed.

I like the show and consider myself a fan, but I haven't nearly seen all of the episodes and I don't own any of them on DVD as of yet. But yeah, The Simpsons are and will always be an American classic like e.g. Seinfeld, Cheers and Friends.

The biggest difference I see is in Homer's stupidity. Back in the day, he was incredibly stupid, and it was funny as hell. Now, he's just retarded, and it's not very funny at all.

I'm not enough of a fan to know what seasons are what, etc, but it seemed like that for just about all of the '90s the show was amazing. In recent years, I haven't been enjoying them. Also, Futurama >>> The Simpsons.
