My hair's gotten out of hand - and in some cases out of scalp. It's so long and constantly tangled that I need to do something with it otherwise I'll risk premature baldness.

Anywaysum, given the amount of hair on my head at present (see above), can anyone offer any insight into the sorts of haircuts I could get? I have a massive, melon-shaped head so anything that lessen that is great. I also don't want anything particular short since I'm actually quite attached to the long-haired look. Accompanying pictures are advisable.

I used to have really long hair. A few days after I cut it off, I met my husband. xP

Just cut enough off to donate to one of those charities that makes wigs for cancer patients, then spike the rest. :P

I'm actually gravitating towards this. I'd really like something that kept the length but meant I didn't have to keep tucking it behind my ears.

The potential to meet a future wife is little incentive for me to get short hair since I'd just end up growing it out again. Doing a charity gig would be nice but I'm just too damn vain to do so.

Go layered, an inch above the shoulders, or just touching the shoulders. My boyfriend has hair like that, except not layered, and it looks niceeeee. :3

Shoulder length all the way. I hate my hair, because i can't grow it out more than 2 inches...i can't be bothered to comb it etc. and my hair is course, so styling isn't really an option...T_T

Pics two and three (PP Post) look good on you. It could be layered down the back, cut as close to the head as possible, maybe dye it dark brown/black. Although I despise long hair (long hair doesn't suit me, my face is rounded and I would look ridiculous, plus I want low hair maintenace.) I think it would look good on you.

BTW, (SPOILER)is that a zit down your chin?

Former zit, it's now a scar.

Brush a bit of it forward, to the sides of your head. Then, put the rest in a ponytail, and never cut it again for the rest of your life. When it reaches your feet, dye it white, and un-ponytail it.

My attempts at growing a beard are lacklustre at best. I can barely get a bum-fluff around the very edges of my chin. I actually let my facial hair grow for a good four months and it was just a mess of fuzz around my jawline.

I have tomorrow off so I may head out and do the deed. It will be interesting and I hope I can find somewhere that doesn't mess up. Anywhere in particular I should try?

You don't seem to understand; it's not that I don't want a beard or don't have the staying power. I physically am incapable of growing a beard. I have no facial hair growth on my cheeks what-so-ever, massive patches on my jawline where it doesn't grow at all, and about a handful of hairs on my top lip that could possibly constitute a tasche. Believe me if I could I would have a beard constantly, I love the things. Brian Blessed is my personal idol for that reason, among other things. But my genetics decided it wasn't meant to be.

It kinda looks like an emo version of Zac Efron's hair.
