I hate you Ken.
I really hate you.
Why do you hate him? It's exciting that a Zelda movie is coming out. If he hadn't shown you, you would have never known.
I hate you Mullet.
I really hate you.
Why so glum? Doesn't this look awesome?
We should schedule an EoFF meetup for opening night.
Agreed.
Best 04/01 ever. This made my day.
Wow, they put a lot of effort into that. xP
I thought it was real for the first like 10 seconds when it looked decent, after that they got shoddy on their budget.
Though a Zelda movie WOULD be freaking awesome.
Cheesy, but really impressive for IGN. It actually looks like a real B-grade fantasy flick.
I'd buy the movie just to listen to Ganondorf's voice, personally.
Edit: Excuuuuse me, Princess.
You know maybe we should start a movement to get a Zelda movie made. >.>
I mean Hollywood IS out of ideas already. And Zelda has enough of a fan base that it would make some money.
We should just send massive donations to IGN to make a whole movie, on condition that they change the actor for Link.
Isn't there an Indie Zelda movie in the works already?
To make jokes effective they should really not show them on April 1st. Sorry IGN, but that was a waste of money.
Heh, i've tricked so many people with this so far.
They put a lot of effot into it and I would have probably fallen for it myself if I didn't know it was an april fool's joke beforehand. The horrible Ganondorf would've given it away though.
It was pretty entertaining to watch, and also made me realize how impossible it'd be to actually make a Zelda movie. Also, Roto's right about a talking Link.. *shudder*
Sorry, upstaged.
(Did you rike it?)
I regularly use "Excuuuuse me, Princess" towards any females that annoy me, though not one of them realizes what I'm talking about. It's pretty much a criteria for me going out with someone.
That trailer was very well done. Even if it wasn't real, that 3 something minutes worth is better than everything Uwe Bollocks ever made.
That was done pretty well actually. I gathered it wouldn't be real but I quite enjoyed watching the trailer. Wasn't fantastic but probably better than I'd imagine a Zelda film being done.
I was pretty impressed by it, to be honest. It may seem cheesy or B-grade, but really, for what was likely a small-time production group, the kind of things they pulled off were pretty impressive feats.
I also found it hilarious how Link was mute. It works in the game but it's just so silly in a film.
I don't really care for IGN, but kudos to them for pulling this off, even as a prank.
I get the point of April Fools jokes but no one gets fooled so I see no point behind them. Now if this trailer was released any other time then people might believe it was actually going to happen, so in turn we would of been fooled. But then that would just be stupid. So to wrap up, April Fools day is pointless and a waste of time.
Now if this movie was actually to be released next year then the joke would be on us.
I really, REALLY, hate you all.
Feel the love.
every year, theres a april fools about a Zelda movie, its as much as a tradition as the day its self
Great. So I've gone this long without ever having seen any of that horrid Zelda animation, and now I can't get that damn catchphrase out of my head! :Oo:
This makes me sad. T_T It would make an awesome movie. Though the actor needs to change for Link. Seriously, he looks silly in in the tunic. Link makes it look sexy.
Was it me or did it seem to be mostly based on Twilight Princess with some Ocarina of Time elements thrown into it?
If they made an epic Zelda movie, I'd go see it!
Hah, the "Excuse Me Princess" video was embedded on the top of the page. xP
No, you really, really miss the point. Now stop it, you're embarrassing yourself.
Of course nobody is going to believe it, but that doesn't mean you have to come in here and :skull::skull::skull::skull: all over everyone's fun. God, you're annoying. Go away.
Hahaha, that tickled me. It needed a few of Link's cries and groans. I want to see him swing his sword and go HUYAAA >;0!!
IGN had a hand in its creation. They didn't 'make' it, but they Produced it. Executively.
It is an April Fool's joke.
Which makes the MGS4 April Fool that much better, since while it's a joke it's also real (with brand new gameplay). This Zelda thing is still pretty impressive though.
To me it looks really cheesy and the graphics aren't all that great but I would still go and see it. :p
Link is too old/ugly for this to be real.
IGN has a 'making of' feature up.
