What browser do you use?
FIRST VOTE, FIRST POST!
links because I love graphics. Really, I use firefox because I love security *cough*
Firebox.
85% Firefox for me too. Some of the foreign sites I have to access for my job are horribly broken in Firefox so I have to use IE for those.
I think you should code your website to be cross-browser compatible. :p
yeah, w3c and ACID 3 for the win. Learn it frenchies! o crap, I am a hypocritical American. Generally I stick to standards. Not always though, because of the Fonz in me. heeyyyy~
Die IE. DIE DIE DIE DIE IDIE DIEDIEDIEDIDEIeieieee...
I use Firefox.
firefox is so much better! now days its the only sever your internet works on! plus if you randomly shut down(like i do) firefox js carrys on from where you last started!..preety nifty huh!
I'm glad Firefox is winning :p I'm about to KILL IE and all IE users. Seriously.
My main is Safari, but I have Firefox (Mac) and use it if I need to/if I want to check something.
Um, I know that back when I was using a PowerPC Mac, Firefox was pretty different on my Mac than it was on my PC. I'm really not sure how close they are now, but you may want to look into checking if you should treat them as two different browsers (or three if you're considering Linux?). But like I said, I'm not sure if this is still the case.
Also of note, I run some outdated IE in a Windows environment when I want to get on a website that's super annoying and won't support anything but.
Too bad IE8 is ACID 2 compatible when set to compatibility mode, and it was so about a month before firefox 3 beta.
Firefox!
Firefox, although I have to use IE for work. :(
I'm about 85% certain I can't run ie8 on any of my computers 8) But I can and do run firefox3b :D
@Kes- you use safari? How can you stand it? At least you aren't using camino! I initially downloaded camino when i got my mbp because yams spoke highly of it, then I found out it sucks, so I downloaded firefox2 which was like a million mb, so I deleted that and used safari, then got tired of not having my favorite extensions without everything getting broken, realized firefox wasn't really a million mb, redownloaded, it got tired of it crashing all of a sudden after the 10.4.11 update then downloaded ff3b to see what it was like, kinda liked it, but tried to load ff2 realized all my user data was gone, so I was like 'welp, might as well use ff3b now forever!'
And that is my story.
IE FTW...i sucks but oh well
Fox of the fire.
Firefox 3, Beta 5 and Internet Explorer 8 Beta 1 are the two browsers I have installed and should I update Quicktime or install iTunes, Apple will try and trick me into installing Safari, go them!
I used to use IE a lot, and then I was shown the glory that is AdBlock.
Firefox gets my vote.
Firefox is the bomb. *explodes*
Here are some examples of Firefox on Windows XP, OS X, and Ubuntu.
Um, I don't really use any of them that often, so there's pretty much a guarantee that they're all on the default settings and I did make sure to update all of them (though I'm not 100% sure about Ubuntu's).
Ubuntu
OS X
Windows XP
And just for kicks:
IE (who knows what version) Windows XP
Safari OS X
As for how I can stand using Safari? *shrug* I pretty much just need it to browse the internet and it does that just fine. I've heard people complain about it before but I've never really seen any reason to switch. Well, except that there may be a memory leak issue.
Also of note: I don't like Rilo Kiley.
I use IE. Firefox isn't that widespread around here. I don't know anyone who uses it, apart from my former High School.
Firefox.
I used to use Firefox but since I got my new laptop I've been using IE. Although, earlier when typing a really long post it decided to give me an error and restart so I think it's back to Firefox I go. :jess:
Firefox wins hands down.
I use Firefox mostly, but I do use IE occasionally
Firefox. I do use the Firefox IE tab occasionally for viewing certain pages (such as streamed video) that doesn't always work with Firefox. Otherwise, Firefox is my preferred browser. Been using it for so long that I can't really conceive switching back to IE.
Firefox like 90% of the time.
Otherwise Opera since it is easier on my CPU (usually) and loads a lot faster (more like the program itself, I find it sometimes obnoxiously slow when loading webpages, especially on Gamefaqs).
Firefox>All
AOL, but in my defence only use it because the window has to stay open in order for me to be connected to t'internet and I have having too may windows open.
I'm using firefox right now though, because AOL froze on me ;_;
Internet Explorer 6 at work, and Internet Explorer 7 at home.
To this day, I've never been given a good enough reason to change from IE. All these errors and crashes and whatever else you people go on about just don't seem to happen to me. I must be lucky. Or maybe I just don't try to abuse it as often as other people. Or maybe it's that my porn sites are just cooler than yours.
I usually use Firefox, but it keeps crashing for me at the moment, so I'm using whatever IE I have until it fixes itself. :p
Internet Explorer for me I found Firefox weird and I don't think I could get use to it. :p
I've been using Firefox 3 beta 5 quite a bit lately. It's nice to have the stability of earlier betas improve. It's at 71% on acid3, which is the highest of any browser I've tested. :p
Sometimes I use w3m, if I don't need X. :p
IE for the same reasons as Loony Bob, ive never really had any problems with it and dont see the point in switching to Firefox:)
I use IE. Don't feel like installing and learning something new.
Just IE. Wow, I feel boring.
I've heard that firefox is good but it crashes a lot. Safari's meant to be pretty good, but I'm content with IE. Why is everyone so dead against it?
Anyone not using Firefox with Adblock (or some adblocking alternative to IE) fails at the Internet. Using IE nowadays is like running your resolution at 800x600.
I used to use Opera because I like to think I am an internet rebel who differs from the general consensus.
Then I realized how bad it was in comparison to the Fox.
firefox
There's nothing wrong with using IE :>D!
They both have there advantages and disadvantages. For example:
[*color=Jessweeee][/color*]
Makes blue in IE, but in Firefox it does nothing special at all.
(Try it out, IE users n.n)
EDIT: Isn't it cool how it makes blue and blue is my favorite color?
I only ever use firefox at school and I don't really see anything special about it really :) At home I use Safari, well I just started using it yesterday but I like it somewhat.
I just find it to be far more customizable.
Firefox, I've been using it since it was still called Phoenix :D
I'm glad to see the majority uses Firefox or other browsers, I'm sure the result would've been different a few years ago. IE is a pain for web developers, but the situation is improving since IE7.
Firefox, but occasionally I find it starts eating up my RAM. Then I use Opera for a while and go back to Firefox later.
I play and work on an online game (check the sig guys for the link if ya wanna try it) Basically because of modern standards of security ect ect it's hard to configure the downloadable image pack (whilst unnecessary, it speeds the game up some) therefore I have to be able to tweak my browser settings, thankfully Fire Fox have an addon called ChromEdit Plus which even on Vista makes tweaking the necessary file a doddle. Therefore I use FF2 still I haven't gone to the beta because if I do I've heard the compatability runs out with the game image pack. Though whenever I try uploading photos to my facebook/myspace/livejournal the browser suffers a catastrophic crash so for those I tend to go on IE7 and use that.
It does nothing special because it's not supposed to :p There's no semantic value to 'jessweeee' that means blue to anyone. Or in other words, it's a coincidence :p A rather amusing coincidence, but I'm sure there's someone that's amused by active-x exploits too!
I use Opera. Its super sophisticated.
Firefox, but with and IE add-on installed :P
It's great for some people. /pointlessly over-defensive
Unfortunetly I use I.E but I prefer Firefox all the way :)
Firefox. My computer has a lovely habit of closing the internet browser that is open regularly. Firefox allows me to restore what I was doing. It does it so often that if I used IE, I think I'd be pulling my hair out due to frustration.
I use Mozilla Firefox. It's always been faster than IE for me, and I like the restoration option as well as the ability to change music tracks on it.
Opera remembers everything you were on last if the browser crashes or not. Restore point is nothing new.
Actually we use two, IE and Firefox. (latter for friendster)
