What's your sig all about?

So, your sig. The image that you use incessantly every time you maek poast. What is it and why are you using it? Does it remind of you times long forgotten, where you were with that girl or boy who was cute only because there were 3 other kids as competition, and being 5 years older than the rest is an amazingly asian advantage? I mean um....what's your sig all about? Does it grant you powers over the elements or perhaps an edge when doing trigonometry? I know my S ARS signature gave me a bonus to capturing pikachus.

Though right now my signature is quite different than before. I'll maek poast and show you the full jpg if I don't get assassinated before then.

Mine's all about Tengen Toppa, and is therefore, better than faces combined. Lolicon love, please.

My sig is the young Dumbledore and Grindelwald kissing, because Grindledore is the best slash coupling ever, except for maybe Snape x Harry. Sorry, Mullet, Molly x Hermoine isn't top on my list. :bigsmile:

My sig is a pretty sig, containing my girlfriend's eyes and forehead, as well as having actually been made by her. :bigsmile:

The best movie from the past year.

Mine has Hazuki from Tsukuyomi -Moon Phase- with lines from the show's opening song. However, she doesn't look like that in the anime, see my profile pic for how she actually looks. I'm assuming the Hazuki used in my sig was fanart. ^^

Mine is 32 characters from various touhou games walking/running about, if your browser can display it :p Otherwise you see my old sig of various avatars I've used in the past :p

Apparently my new sig is too heavyweight for some older PCs though, so I'll reduce the sprite count and make who's on-screen random instead when I get around to it :p

Mine has been incomplete for a long, long while. It used to be complete but then it, somehow, became incomplete. It is one of the greatest mysteries of our time.

Currently, it is a line from Pain of Salvation's "Chain Sling" paired with a passage from Oscar Wilde's "The Ballad of Reading Gaol". Neither of which give me powers over the undead.

One day I will either solve the mystery of my signature's incompletion or rouse myself into action to complete it once more. According to current trends of mine, it has become apparent that neither of those will be occuring anytime in the near or far future. Unless of course someone wants to complete it for me. That would be nice.

I don;t get mine, but since I turned off signatures and I don't see any I haven't bothered to change it.

Mine is pure laziness on my part in getting a real sig.

The easy part of my signature is the Signature Challenge plug. Yup, need to bring some more voters in so that I don't have to vote on the challenges I enter.

The harder part is the Christmas party. Obviously it isn't Christmas. However, while it isn't my highest rated signature(oddly it seems to be a Hotaru one that I made a while ago along with the From me to You signature that have the highest ratings) it is one of the signatures that I spent the most time on. I had to redraw some of the stocks and took ages to cut everyone out. I just simply like it since it represents an actually hard working attempt to make something attractive(most of the time I just rely on inspiration and go with the flow.. I planned this one). That is why the From me to You signature was my favorite for the longest time. And now this one has taken the lead due to the fact that I took even more time on this one.

My sig rocks IMO.

The idea was mine, a guy called Inhert on ffxii.net made it.

Do you know about my signature? Someone told me that they recognized it from a game, yet it is an original piece of artwork inspired by myself and a friend.

*Checks* which rule is it breaking? It is 235 pixels or so tall(250 is the limit) and the image size is 59.67 kb.

The only thing I can think of would be the width. And I don't have anything set that would be longer than 500px. Other than the text and I just let the browser handle that(or do I have to space my text to make sure it doesn't break the 550 wide?).

The only thing I can possibly think of would be the < hr > I put in there. And that should by html standards auto size without any issue. Hmm.. then again maybe the < hr > isn't allowed in a signature?

Edit- Well I just set the HR to 550 so it should not exceed that anymore no matter how wide your browser is.

Just tell me what exactly it is and I can fix it... but I just can't find it unless it was the HR deal.

My sig is nothing but shameless self-promotion, but often contains a bitchy comment too.

The kb limit is 50. I just checked the sig restrictions and I see that it is set to 60. That is not correct. Some Admin thinks they are being funny. :cat:

Even so, it's 61.1kb which is higher than either limit. I recommend opening it in paint, going to image, and reducing it by 95% in both horizontal and verticle.

we allow 51200 bytes because that is 50 kilobytes (multiply/divide by 1024, not 1000) the sig is 61000 odd bytes, or 59.6 kilobytes.

ShunNakamura's sig is 59.67 kb and exactly 231 pixels high. The width is fine and the height is fine. The kbs are too much. The Admin that changed it to 60 is going to be tarred and feathered after he changes it back to 50. :cat:

However, since we have been talking on signature rules. So then was the fullsized horizontal rule acceptable then? Not that I want the full size one back, I think it looks better shorter now that I have seen it that way. Just asking since looking at the rules it does have the "These include any text in the signature besides images." under the sizes. I knew the height applied. However, wasn't sure on the width. Thus, I have just been letting the browser do its magic.

If the text and hr are affected by width rule... Drat, looks like I need to play with my text again. It is longer the the HR and I know that is currently 550.

Your line is fine, but your text took it up to 577 pixels. It's good now though. I changed your text to size 1.

If I was admin I would make it 60 kb, yes. But I'd also ban those of you who didn't dedicate that 60 kb to showing how great I am.

You could have just told me :D. Odd, I for some reason thought we had autowrap for text. That was probably another forum. Well I'll just set my signature into a div and auto limit it to 550. That'll keep me from going over again.

Well I set it all into a div with a 550 width and a 240 height. That should make it impossible for me to go over unless someone is using one of those dumb browsers that don't like to comply with internet standards(yes I am looking at you IE). Now all I gotta do is remember that it is 50 and not 60 for size
