When Will You Get a PS3?

I'm considering when it'll be worth it to get a PS3. For me it will happen when I see a good trailer for the third Team Ico game, or I hear good things after FF XIII comes out (I wasn't impressed by XII so I'm waiting).

What are they now like $400? Still not worth it to me, there's nothing I really want yet, that I know of.

But here's my wish list:

Silent Hill V (Hope it doesn't suck, different developers)
Gran Turismo 5
Team Ico Game
FF XIII
FF XIII Versus
Kingdom Hearts 3 (Will this ever be announced?)


I'm not up with new games anyway since I've been playing PS1 recently, maybe someone can fill me in.

Any PS3 owner is in need of purchasing Valkeria Chronicles.

And I'm hoping to get one in october. Maybe November.

Well, I already have one - my boyfriend gave me one for Christmas, but for some reason I don't really play much. Maybe I'm missing the 'right' kind of game to play.

Probably not for many years. The 360 should keep me busy though.

I already own one. Virtua Fighter 5 was the deciding factor for me.

I bought it a year ago, but I really didn't need it until now. I've used it a couple time to watch DVD's and I also played Spiderman 3 once, but I only got my ass kicked over and over again on a stupid mission.

Now that GTA 4 is out I'll actually get to use it. :up: Looking forward to the next Silent Hill and Resident Evil too.

I'mma wait until my boyfriend gets it and then use his whenever necessary. :D

When PS4 comes out, at earliest.

I haven't thought of getting one and probably won't.

I need to get one for christmas. "Need" being the keyword since Metal Gear Solid 4 exists.

When they're excessively cheap and I can get a chipped one.

This, in addition to forseeing the whole backwards compatibility issue.

Maybe in a year or two. There isn'ta whole lot that I want to play on it, but when it's cheaper I'll consider getting it for MGS4 and a couple of other things.

Either when Final Fantasy XIII comes out or else earlier if there is some other must-play game out on it. Which probably won't happen as I can't think of any that I regard to be must-play.

Depends on the bank account, though, of course.

I actually downloaded and watched the Valkyria Chronicles trailer yesterday. I'd only seen screenshots before then. The game looks amazing in motion.

I bought a PS3 a few weeks ago. Metal Gear Solid 4 was released, so there was finally something I wanted to play. :P I figured I'd find something else to keep me occupied between MGS4 and Soul Calibur IV. I've downloaded a ton of demos, and found absolutely nothing I'd wan to pay money for. >_> Still, there are a bunch of probably-great games coming out for it, so I don't regret my purchase. (Though apparently there's a rumour that the current 40 Gig SKU will be replaced by a new one some time next month, though nobody knows what that would be. I might end up regretting not waiiting a little longer if it's something like a 40 gig with backwards compatibility. I might just bring mine back some time in the next week and wait and see what happens. xP)

Metal Gear Solid 4 was my welcoming ticket.

I'll buy one when whatever the low end SKU is that's out has backwards compatibility with the PS2.

I'll be adding this console to my collection once my visa is more paid off.

I don't plan on buying one unless my PS2 gives out.

When there's a cheap one with games I want that has backwards compatibility.

I'll get one when I can afford it - and like MILF, I'll be looking for affordability and compatibility.

Also, to add to that post-- I still probably won't even consider it then unless Disgaea 3 and the next Kingdom Hearts game is released by then.
