I don't know my blood type, and I know I should! That's life-saving info, and everyone should know it. I want to find it out soon!
I believe my dad was AB+, though, but I dunno. xD

No, O+ people are not universal recipients. O+ people can only receive O+ or O- blood. O- people can only receive O- blood. It's the AB+ people who are universal recipients.Quote:

I have no idea. To find out, you either have to PAY for a test to be done (out of the question), give blood (which I'm not sure I can do if I'm on the contraceptive Pill), receive blood (God forbid!) or be pregnant (see point 1).
I'm pretty sure I'm type O, the same as my dad, as my mum says that when I was born, my blood type didn't match my mum's, as I think hers is AB, which is quite rare.
Not sure of the Rhesus factor though. Whichever is the most common, I guess.

Well they stick it more near the middle arm area near the elbow. It has to puncture a certain vein in the arm so it can absorb blood from there if I remember correctly. They don't stick it at a right angle at you skin though. It's more of an angle that's practically parallel to your skin. It's kind of a hard thing to do seeing how the needle is quite huge (being practically 2/3 the diameter of a pencil). It kind of has to be that big since it needs to be hollow so it can take in the blood.Quote:
