Uh, oh. Am I dyslexic?

So, I was browsing the General chat when I came across a thread:


"I hate your tile! YOU'VE MADE MY DAD SAD!" :eek:

So I had to reread it, that just made no sense.

"I hate your tile! YOU'VE MADE MY DAD SON!" :mad:

One more time.

"I hate you tile! YOU'VE MAD MY SAD DAD!" :confused:

Well, it turns out that the thread is actually called: "I hate you tile! YOU'VE MADE MY DAY SAD!" If I would've posted in there, there's no doubt my post would've been warned as spam.

Do you occasionally misread things? Does this come with embarassing or destructive consequences? I DMENAD YUOR REPOSNESS!

It's worse than that. Sometimes I will read words. Over and over. And I would swear up and down it was misspelled when it was not.

I misread that post title about 15 times!

I read "I hate you tile!" a million different thing before I finally registered.

Yeah! Don't you spam up my threads! They're cool and spam free! :D

Either way, I'm usually good with words, I'm like super freaking dyslexic when it comes to numbers, which is funny because I'm super awesome at Math. Basically if a clock says "1:52" I'll read it as "2:51" or "1:25", then I get mad because I -know- what the clock says the whole brain to mouth process just doesn't come out right. :(

I always hear and understand everything fully, but I still like to pretend that I don't. My favourite activity is twisting what people have said into disgusting sexual statements.

Usually if I'm really, really tired I'll do that a lot. I just can't get things to go together right.

I usually mis-read things and accidently make them rude

I blame my brain, it thinks about sex too much ¬_¬

Mostly I mix consonants with vowels or vice versa, which creates some interesting wdors wneh tyhe come uot of my mutoh.

I also read it as "I hate you tile! YOU'VE MADE MY DAD SAD!" xD

Just yesterday I misread a thread title about an A-Teens musical as being about an A-Team musical. I was sorely disappointed. I tend to misread things if I'm tired or in a hurry, otherwise I'm usually alright.

i misread numbers, which is probably why they took me off of the cash register at mcdonalds and put me on the grill. ;_; (which i liked better but still)

I've always thought I was slightly dyslexic just by the way I say things or read them. But whatever.

I got confused with that thread title, too.

Writing in capitals is harder to read, I think?

Don't worry. I am the least dyslexic person I know, but I am always misreading things.

I also was beaten by the difficult thread title. I read it, read it again, and then a third time before I could figure out the first half. Then it took two more attempts to put the entire thing together. I'm not dyslexic though, I am really good at picking up errors and stuff :D

Just thought of something. I keep misreading someone's surname (Coleshaw) as 'coleslaw' :D

Well, I'm the flipn queen of typos (flipn was intentional... the skullies would probably block it out).
It's pretty bad.
I typoed one day, telling that my fiance's eyes gay. And I meant to say "gray". Then he said, "I wonder what straight eyes look like?" XD
Oh well, we had a good laugh about it.
And sometimes, I mix up words in a sentence; So that I don't make any sense, even to myself.
Lack of sleep is my problem. =/
