I've put everybody on my Ignore List. It's like my own personal forum. I've just been guessing what to post through titles alone xD
I. . I don't think I've put anyone on ignore on anything but IRC. . .
I had about a dozen people on ignore back in the day, but most of them got banned a long time ago and then I got modded so I removed 'em.
I have *counts* nine people on my ignore list. Care to guess who they are?
Ignoring people only really works if everyone ignores them, coz' if they don't, you're left unable to make much sense of things going on around you. God knows if I started ignoring people that irritated me here, I'd be talking to myself.
More than I usually do, at least.
Well, if they say anything relevant, it usually gets quoted.
I have one user on Ignore - a genocidal racist and religious fundamentalist who got banned some years ago :D
He can stay on Ignore, though, 'cause the moment I undo it I'll be greeted by vitriolic hate-mail in my PM inbox, and I can't be arsed dealing with that:p
I wonder how many people have me on ignore.
I am going to take this opportunity to snicker.
Also, I've tried putting a few people on ignore, but I've found it's generally easier to just gloss over their posts instead of backtracking and clicking show if I lose track of a conversation.

Naw. Everyone has something to contribute, even if it's complete, you can still grow plants with it.
I don't have anyone on my ignore list. I generally stay clear of General and EoEO unless a topic interests me or I am just that bored due to lack of activity on the rest of the site. Because of this, I've been able to avoid most of the obnoxious people. The few I do run into usually get banned pretty quickly or stay in one of the two forums I mentioned.

I have one person on my ignore list. Told the rest of the staff that I just couldn't handle seeing this person's posts and that if this particular user posted inappropriate stuff the rest of staff can take care of it. :p
I considered using it once, but decided it'd be funnier to make a greasemonkey script to change all of their posts to "I'm just complaining some more." when I viewed them. :p
I'd ignore A Most Loved Man if it meant his PMs got shot back to him, or they wouldn't go through. Since an ignored person is told that their PMs go through, it's more fun to put up with and poke fun at the harassment:D

I tried that when lovehurts kept PMing (harassing) me all the time, but then I got curious about that talking on the walkies or walking on the talkies. Whatever.
Talking on the talkies. lovehurts was gold and I could never put him on my ignore list. But I guess it's different when he's harassing you. xP

I don't use my ignore list. There are a few people I considered putting on it, but the amusement I got at their expense tended to outweigh my annoyance. Besides, I can always skip posts I don't want to read.

Personally, I'd like a feature where instead of just not displaying posts from x users, make them display, but hide them as though they were deleted with a 'hidden: User on Ignore' message. Then if I really want to see what they say, i can just click to display!
