How do you pronounce technicks? I've heard people say it like "technics" and "techniques"- which is it?
I say technics.
Techniques is what i think
I say technick. :D
So...Magiques? Nay, a single "K" doesn't pull that much weight.
Technically calling them techniques isn't wrong, however, pronouncing "Technicks" as "Techniques" is.
I haven't played this game in a while (due to the lack of a PS2, so I'm sure you can forgive me), but if I remember right, FF12 is full of "incorrect spellings".
I say "Tek-niks", though I know that they are exactly the same as Techniques, but are spelled and said differently to highlight the whole "It's a different world" thing (or that's why I think anyway). Kinda like the His Dark Materials words.
I pronounce it "Garbage".
Tek-niks, like Quin says. Just seems like the way they wanted it, with the crazy "K" thrown in there.
Makes it look cool. :D
I pronounce it like the real word, but what I always wondered why they're in the game, I really don't use any of them except for Charge, Libra, and Steal. I would've used Shades of Black a lot more too, but most of the time when I use it it casts a low level black magic spell resulting in 0 points of damage to an enemy. The gambits to support them can also use a bit of work too.
Telekinesis was useful. :(
Tech as in techology, nicks as in I found Nick's frilly pantaloons.
These were quite useless, i only used Charge, Libra and telekineses..
3 out of the whole aresenal of TECHNIQUES
Yeah, it really bugged me too! Every time I encountered a flying enemy I had to swap in Fran or Balthier which for some reason I almost always make my ranged fighters, and by the end of the game when the enemies were strong and the ranged weapons weren't getting much stronger Telekinesis finally coming along was a welcome sight...
EDIT: Ahhh I also forgot to mention before that Steal was always near the top of my gambits. I think I set it up in my last game enemy hp=100%-Steal. What gambits have any of you used for steal because I didn't really like that one
I always had Enemy HP Less Than or Equal To 70% - Steal, I think.
prouncing aside are they even worth it!?!?!?! i havent sent one person through thatr section but i do say it techniques
