Guild Wars Nightfall (and others to add on to that, creating one giant world), I honestly am yet to see someone here brave enough to bother pushing past the newbie island(s) in GW, and boom right there it means it sucks, fricken' terrible judgement imo.
Other naive comments like "Boo you can only take 8 skills in with you anywhere you go" or "WoW is better, and you play GW so you're bias... even though your points are completely and utterly proper" even though the two games run off of totally different battle systems.
That'll all change once I send my super omega video about it to youtube [B!
I personally think American McGee's Alice was awesome, though the ending needs a bit of work. :(
Wizardry? Hellz yeah!
I choose Arcanum, for its geeky uberness.
Sega Mega Drive Ultimate Collection. =x
Alternatively, Lost Odyssey, as that will encourage me to get back into it...

Oh wait, there's a poll.
Earthbound or Kid Icarus. GO!
He probably means Arcana. The game for SNES that is awesome.
I chose Arcana, naturally, with extra check marks in Wizardry V and Destiny of an Emperor. Unfortunately, I don't think the majority of the user base could handle any of those games, especially not Wizardry or DoaE.
How 'bout Threads of Fate or Persona 3 o:
I saw a copy of Destiny of an Emperor for NES at The Exchange for $10 bucks and wished I still had an NES to play it on. :(
Play Seiken Densetsu 3, :skull::skull::skull::skull:'s so cash.
Let's all play Quake I while we're suggesting games that no one else wants to play!
But then I realize there's a list and suggest Yoshi's Island.
I included Kid Icarus specifically for those of you who like to torture yourselves. :onnanoko:
Yes, Yoshi's Island. I love that game. Eat Fuzzy, Get Dizzy is the best Level Name ever!
Aww, I missed Yoshi's Island! I'd vote for that too. Make the final entry for that +1. :p
God, you people are boring. Way to pick the most popular and easiest of games on the list.
Of course there is a way of making a game challenging. But why not play a game a good number of people haven't played before that is challenging by default?
a game that i actually own?
You don't have to own any of them, because all of them can be played on an emulator.
EarthBound plz.
Also, ActRaiser.
>>> Eoff needs to play more pong, tetris and pac-man..
I refuse to vote on a poll that doesn't include a single Sonic game :mad2:
Wizardry V, because smurf the SNES.
Haha I remember that game. :D
I think playing some obscure game would be fun. There's only so many times I can play Super Mario World, Crono Trigger, Donkey Kong, Secret of Mana and Zelda games.
I'd vote for Moonwalker and Act Raiser atm, but I'm very open for suggestions, will be fun playing a game I haven't played before. Like Kid Icarus maybe. I don't know anything about that game though, so I don't know if it would be any fun.
You mean an obscure game like Threads of Fate, Levian :>D?

And for the REAL masochists:

:p
Aww, come on! We can see who can manage to get past at least three stages. Freaking DOJ. :p
Fine then, EoFF plays Perfect Cherry Blossom Phantasm Stage! I've almost beaten it... :D
Of the games on that poll, TMNT: Turtles in Time, Castlevania 4, and Seiken Densetsu 3 really stick out as games that other EoFFers should play. As for other games, well, they're games that everyone knows about and I'd be lame for naming them because they reveal my inability to look deeper than main-stream video gaming, and that's a big no-no.
However, of the cool "I bet no one here has played it!" games I've played, I really enjoyed the game Trilby's Notes, a part of the Chzo Mythos. However, I mostly want other people to play it to see if they get into the frightened mood as much as I did, or if I'm actually just a wuss. You see, Trilby is paranoid of something, and when he gets really scared, he gets transported to a terrible world where the "Tall Man" resides, and he attempts to kill Trilby at multiple points in the game during these points. Trilby also has a tendency to hallucinate, and write "ithurts" in his diary for no apparent reason. :p Anyway, people here should play it. It's neat-o.
Edit: Oh, also, I've found myself enjoying the Turbografx-16's library of games quite a lot since it has appeared on the Wii's VC. In particular, I really enjoyed the Neutopia games and the Bonk games. Neutopia is a major Zelda rip-off, but its dungeon design relies more on analyzing the map of the dungeon and guessing what walls you should bomb based on patterns in the dungeon design, and also figuring out how to go over the many ponds in the dungeon using its version of the bridge item from Zelda 1. The musical style and art style are also very different from the Zelda games. Zelda fans here should check it out.
I don't know, Momiji xD It might be too crazy for me if it's that game you've posted pictures of in your LJ, which I think it is.
Lost Vikings is an underrated game everyone should try though ;o very awesome!
The game you saw is Perfect Cherry Blossom. The one qwert quoted me on is DoDonPachi Dai-Ou-Jou, one of the hardest danmaku shmups out there-- ridiculously so.
Of course, like all other EoFF plays series, there are different challenges. You wouldn't have to play the hardest (Phantasm) stage, like I play. We could have goals set up for each difficulty setting (and believe me, easy mode is simple :D)
That game looks pretty darn tough. I don't exactly know much about games like this, but it looks like the game uses patterns to help the player figure out a path of where to go, with just how large the spaces are in comparison to other spaces between bullets. That's pretty cool. :p
Edit: I've forgotten, but are there even battle axes in the original Final Fantasy?
smurf all other games.
Go play Alpha Centuari.
This thread is now about bad games?
Not really, in Dai-Ou-Jou. I kind of think DOJ was CAVE's try at combining a danmaku (bullet curtain/bullet hell, commonly has lots and lots of slow moving bullets) with a normal fast paced shooter game, where the bullets are fewer and much faster. However, CAVE games like Mushihimesama are very pattern based, boss-wise, at least.
Perfect Cherry Blossom and Touhou shmups in general differ in that they're easier than most other shooting games at normal difficulty (but hellishly evil at Lunatic, the hardest difficulty), and tend to focus on patterns that are much slower, but also very complex at the same time. Think of it as a real-time puzzle.
Good point. It could also be a game that many people haven't played before. I mean, there's not much of a point in making everyone play a game that everyone's played before since it's a little repetive. But if we were to play something people are unfamiliar with, like F-Zero, the Super Bomberman series, Twinbee, or The Lost Vikings (like Levian suggested) it'll help introduce a new game series to EoFFers.
Well, whether you take the suggestion or not, I think we should play something that has a co-op mode so EoFFers could team up and progress through the game together using Netplay.
I also suggest:

and finally this...

People should play Hydlide so they can truly know what an awful RPG is like and I don't have to listen to people diss certain good titles cause they only stick to what they feel are AAA titles :roll2. FFX is a billion times more fun and epic than this game and that should tell you how awful this game is.
Seiken Densetsu 3 all the way!!
We should have a "Let's Play Seiken Densetsu 3!" and see which team of 3 people can beat the game the fastest. :p
If we're suggesting games not on the poll then

And it's spiritual successor.
http://forevergeek.com/images/Crystalis1.jpg
Looking at screenshots of Athena and Crystalis, it's pretty tough to catch similarities. o_o
Oops, I meant Psycho Soldier not Crystalis. In my defense Athena and Kensou do make cameos in Crystalis. And you should play Crystalis anyway, it's awesome.

The Legend of Zelda wouldn't be much of a challenge. IT can be beat in an hour.
Super Hard Challenge for Legend of Zelda: Beat it in 5 hours.
