Premiership Fantasy Football League - Season 09/10

The new season isn't until August of course, but that doesn't mean we can't get going with our fantasy team's. It was recently set up anew for the coming season, so lets get started. I would just like to say that if you do decide to join the league, I hope you'll remain active until the end. Last season I didn't know who was active apart from a few of us, and it would be cool to have a good few of us going right up until the finish.

I will join when I am at home and can access the website. No Ronaldo! Oh man, it will be hard to pick players this time around with City/United both due to change their sides somewhat dramatically.

I'm really looking forward to the fantasy football this season. Last time I only played in a league with my mates from home & ending up finishing last because I lost interest when one of my mates pulled 300 points ahead of me. But no Ronaldo this time, & refusing on principal to have him in my team was indeed my downfall.

But with the EoFF league to look forward too I'm definitely following it up all season:D

Ronaldo out this season blows fantasy football wide open indeed. Captains will be changed as regular as Dean Ashton picking up injuries this coming season.

Until everyone remembers that Lampard/Gerrard are still just as good, anyway.

I suppose, but Ronaldo really was out on his own when he hit form.

Can someone confirm if, should I enter my squad now, I can constantly change it until close to season start? I don't want to register a team just now if I can't change it dramatically closer to the opening weekend without being penalised.

Shizzle. I'll probably leave him out then until I know for sure he'll be alright. Still, as soon as he gets fit he's straight in there.

Had a bit of a reshuffle. My first choice XI has suffered slightly but my backup has improved.

IN: Campbell - obviously won't get as many goals as Torres, but still think he'll play more and score decently.

IN: Gerrard - I want someone who is more consistent here.

IN: P Neville - Someone more likely to play.

IN: M Taylor - Someone more likely to get goals as well as assists... although Malbranque is still certainly likely to get the latter, not so much the former.

I reckon I'l stick with the team I picked until after the 1st week or so to get some sort of idea as to the form of certain players. I reckon a fit Michael Owen in a United shirt is a dangerous prospect & a point scoring machine. I reckon Lampard & Anelka will have another good season.

I'm confident in Owen to do well enough, but not confident in him enough to get 60 minutes each game (and thus the default 2 points for playing that much).

I'm hoping Tevez and Agbonlahor score loads, because I've spent a lot of money on their asses.

I'd say his role will be sorta the same as Ryan Giggs, brought on for 30 minutes at the end to make an impact. He saved United by doing so against the Malaysian XI.

I want to put in some City players but, like United's midfield, I'm unsure who is 90% likely to start every week. I think I'll wait and see how that goes, first.

EDIT: Yeah, I watched that game. I'd rather someone who gets me 6 points than 5, though. Every little... :D

I'm planning to keep Folan as a sub but I have Owen as well chances are he'll only be a sub too. Having Lampard & Gerrard in my team hit me hard in the money department but hopefully it'll be worth it in the end. As long as I start better than last season when I insist on keeping Robbie Keane!

About time:P Check the EoFF there tonite & there is 15 teams I knew there couldn't be that many!

I'm guessing our league code got found on Google and then posted somewhere. I assume people want to be as part of as many leagues as possible, even if they have no idea what the smurf that league even is.

I remember our EoFF euro 2008 league got ranked within the top 100 in the world or something (at one point). We're hot property!

I have to say I'm looking forward to this I've playing in 3 leagues so I've an incentive to keep at it till the very end this time!

Looks like I just lost a clean sheet bonus for Cech and Terry. :(

The league tables are unavailable at the moment, so can't boot anyone for now. I thought Clint Dempsey scored, until I later found out Zamora deflected the shot and he was only given an assist. :sad:

Not been a good day for my team. Tevez did nothing and was on the bench, Aston Villa didn't score at all, meaning Agbonlahor and Young barely got any points, and Chelsea didn't get a clean sheet. I'm just hoping the remaining games are good for me. :sweat:

I had a bad day too only managed 29 points & all my players bar 1 played today & like an idiot I changed my captain from Stephen Ireland to Anelka changes will have to be made!

Had to spent some of my points on a 2nd transfer to get rid of Zayette he didnt even play. I decided to trade Anelka for Drogba too.

This is gonna be a rough gameweek for myself. Not only is Doyle & Ferdinand injured, but A Young, Cole, Dempsey, & Hangeland aren't playing for me. I made two transfers and still two players aren't playing. I was gonna bring in Jordi Gomez of Wigan but I can't bring myself to lose another 4 points. :sad:

I've not been having a very good time of things so far, but it's early days and I seem to remember doing badly early on in both the previous seasons too. Hopefully tradition continues and I rise up near the end >_>

Down to 6th this week my team didn't repeat the greatest of week 3 but a mid table finish in the EoFF League would make me very happy :D

I will settle for nothing less than the title, or if I smurf up in the coming months, a champions league spot.

Was 4th. Messed around with my team a bit. Expect me to be bottom by Christmas. I really want to make up for last season when I didn't pay enough attention. I think I was 3rd the season before (pipped to second by BoB during the final weeks :() only to finish about second to bottom last year. I want top 4!

Anybody still following the Fantasy Football? Only 9 weeks left guys & its very close at the top of the EoFF League!

I've been doing my best, but haven't quite done as well as previous seasons overall. Hopefully things will pick up!

Considering I was dead last by about 300 points for the first four months I am pretty pleased with where we're at right now :wacky:

I'm already 400 points over last years end of Season total so I'm pretty happy :D

I have forgotten to change my team 4 times over the course of this campaign, resulting in the worst luck possible it's funny. Most recently, last gameweek. Forgot to change my team, Drogba scores twice (third sub), and I had worked my way around to allow 5 million in the bank to bring Torres in as Captain. What happens? He would have gotten me 38 points. I have wasted about 200 points so far by being careless and forgetting to change it.

Still I'm not gonna cry about it and do my best to retain the title. :)

Good run in this year. Shattered Dreamer pushed me right to the last day. A hat-trick of titles for The Brazilian Sugerkids. ;D See you guys next year!

Hollow FC were top for about 7 or 8 weeks lost out in the last 2 weeks :cry: But great season I beat my score last year by about 800 points in the end so awesome :D

Not a very good season for me after finishing something like second over the past two seasons. Oh well!

I'm gonna sign up this season, but as a Wolves fan I have to stress that anyone who includes Ebanks Blake in their squad is onto a loser!

He won't feature much this season with Doyle and Fletcher upfront.

Can't wait for the new season!

I started off so well, but it just collapsed when I didn't bother to check after about February. Alas... 6th is respectable enough.
