So I recently got my first job. I'm working at my local library through this internship program. Up until today it wasn't very awesome, but it's taken a turn for the better because now I get to do tech stuff.
What was your first job?

christmas tree farm... got fired after three days.... that was long enough ago that suspicion won't automatically fall on me if the business should suffer a mysterious fire......
My first job was pot washing in a pasta/pizza bar.

My first real job was working at TJ Maxx. I started out as a fitting room attendant and someone who watches an organizes the floors, but then I started doing register and then customer service and layaway. I made it up to jewelry before I quit.
Congrats on your first job! It's always a really nice first step. Just stick with that job for a good six months, and you'll be able to find a new job at an even nicer place, until you move up to something even better!
Thanks, Rye!

Christmas trees smell so yummy when you burn them!
Stockman at Wal-Mart. I talked to the cashiers who were my friends more than I did actual work.
Mine was stuffing advertisements in the local weekend newspaper on Saturday mornings. It sucked and was not fun and the pay sucked. But ehh. It's one of those things that's a good experience to at least know where you don't want to work.
The first thing I got paid for was being a teeball and coachpitch umpire. My first actual job was at a museum gift shop, stocking and working the register. The museum was running a Star Wars exhibit at the time, so we only sold Star Wars stuff at the store.
If a paper route doesn't count. Then if anyone's seen Employee of the Month. I had Dane Cook's job. We actually built a fort back in the furniture storage room from all the boxes of furniture. Had a parascope set up too, to keep from getting busted. Lay-away was my place to be. Nothing happened there except for close to Christmas. Then it was hell. Customers loved me too. They actually hunted me down 'cause they wanted me specifically. That felt good. Too bad the place went out of business not too long after I hired in
my first job was taking orders and making drinks at a famous local restaurant. It wasn't so bad except I went home with ice cream splattered all over my arms and shoes!
Working at a Dollar Tree. Pretty easy job; stocking, cleaning, unloading, ect. The only problem was jack asses. But everyone has those. Everyone doesn't get the awesome drunks we get. I remember this one guy, he couldn't even speak and could barely walk. I got like a second hand buzz off of him. He bought a snow globe, a balloon, and some red Swedish fish.
Supervising little kids during after school hours.
My first job was selling straw hats and brooms that me tata made himself in the ghettos of Kingston, mon
renting musical instruments to middle schoolers
Tutoring in Math and Physics.
When I was fourteen, I alternated working for my uncle's landscaping and nursery business. The hours were :bou::bou::bou::bou: and the pay was :bou::bou::bou::bou:.
I sold my body at the young age of 15, and never looked back.
My first and current job is at Australia Zoo. It's a pretty sweet place to work :D
I worked at Next retail as a Christmas temp, before getting my contract extended. That was my first job.
Clinton Cards as a sales assistant. Well I'm still working at my first job, well my first real job. I'm going to be leaving there after August though.
My first job is my current job and that is as a Football referee. Other things I've done in exchange for financial gain include: Half-assed website design. Actually that's it... :p
>>> Go to school i guess..
I did some casual admin work for a family friend which just involved modernising his business a bit more and helping it branch out into eBay. That was just something I did whenever I wanted to turn up for a few hours of a morning though.
My first proper job was with Woolworths which I had from September 2007 until the company went bust in January this year.
I worked at a crappy swim club for two summers when I was 14 and 15 as a maintenance dude. Some used to call us piss boys!
