Nice boat.
I honestly never thought it was possible to actually hate a nonexistent character, until I watched School Days.
I smurfing loved School Days.

This guy is potentially the biggest jerkoff in existance.
I'll give Makoto credit though, this guy gave me one hell of a laugh in the last 3 episodes when the plot just goes to ****. It's like 9 episodes of a decent love triangle with drama and all of a sudden at the end he's basically screwing every female character left and right and things just go like,
Episode 1 - 9
Cool
Episode 10
wut?
Episode 11
roflmfao
Episode 12
Makoto owned, Sekai owned, Kotonoha batshyte insane, nice boat, think i'll go eat some pie.
The end.
And once again,

Do what I did. Pretend it doesn't exist. Write it out of your mind and when someone brings it up, twitch a little and walk away. Good bye.
I wish School Days would get a DVD release here so I could buy it. :D
Come on guys, it wasnt that bad.
I'm gonna assume that none of you have seen Elfen Lied?
Watched the first episode of that, wasn't that intrigued. I might pick it up some other time.
It's only good if you haven't watched anything else; same with Haruhi and Daioh. While it does pull together certain "mature" topics very well (combining gore, sexuality, a psycho killer girl with major mind issues, and cousin-cousin relationships), it doesn't stand out because there's nothing you can't see anywhere else, and probably done better.
As for School Days, it's great if only because it manages to build up the expectation of a violent end. The first few episodes are nut-busting boring. Then it begins to prey on any form of relationship insecurity, which at the least, keeps your interest, even if you don't like it. And it has Nice Boat to go with it.
I have no idea what you people are talking about.
We're talking about this. (Major, major spoiler of course, if you ever plan on watching it)
I know it was good, infact it was a great series.
What are YOU guys talking about?
I assumed when you said "bad" you were refering to the gory ending.
If you mean it was a sucky ending then please go choke on glass and save the anime community from your lack of taste because the ending was excellent and was the only thing that saved the series from the WTF that was episodes 10-11.
I kinda wish I didn't spoil that, because it was *snip*.
Please do not go around the swear filter. ~Shiny
That ending freaked me out the first time I saw it. But it was a great way to end the series, even if it was almost deserving of the Nice Boat. It fit so well.
Elfen Lied makes that ending seem like Azumanga Daioh though in comparison.
Bad? Just because Makoto is the biggest bastard in the history of everything (Which he is. Even I was muttering "bastardbastardbastardbastardBASTARD" under my breath half the time he was on screen, and I am the least likely person i know to develop any kind of emotional respose to a fictional character)? I beg to differ. I give School Days major props for breaking just about every stereotype that it possibly could. I mean, really, who in their right mind thought it would end like that after just seeing the first episode?
And, although Elfen Lied is pretty much a lot gorier, it's just not as shocking in comparison. Throughout that show just about everything is already covered in guts. In School Days, though, you hardly expect either of the relatively innocent high-school girls to respond as they did. IMO, that gives it a hell of a lot more pure shock factor.
I disagree, Elfen Lied was quite shocking, especially the infamous Nana dismembering scene, when I first watched the series that scene freaked me out a bit.
Oh yes, and who can forget the puppy?
In any case Elfen Lied = Win
...the puppy. DDDD:
I loved School Days. Mostly because it filled me with hate and rage like I had never experienced before. My two friends and I stayed up watching the whole series one night, and spent the whole night screaming profanity at my innocent little laptop covered in SIN.
Good times. :D
