What do you think is the most universally loved song of all time?

I dont know anyone who doesnt like It's My Life by Bon Jovi
Add me on the list of disliking both those songs. It's My Life usually makes me switch the station; I'll go out of my way at work to turn down the radio when it comes on.

I have to agree with this. I hate this song. I hate it. It's smurfing everywhere. Everywhere there's music I hear this song. I feel like it's following me. Everyone except for one person thinks I am absolutely crazy for hating this song, and by everyone I mean my friends and family that have absolutely no mutual musical preferences with the exception of this very song. If I hear this song one more smurfing time I am going to kick the :bou::bou::bou::bou: out of whatever it's coming from. Even if I am for some reason at a Journey concert and I have to run up to the stage and beat up Journey.Quote:

Other songs i know that everyone i know likes are Affirmation and Truly Mady Deeply by Savage Garden. Both are simple and dont get on your nerves too much.

Expanding on the definition of 'song' a bit I think Mozart may be one of the most beloved composer of songs, even by people who dislike classical music in general.

Seriously, nearly every person in the Western World will have this sung at them once a year, quite often by several people. How can people not like it when billions of people regularly sing it?
I hate Happy Birthday unless it's Happy Birthday to Ya. I can't think of any sole song that would be loved universally. Most countries have different songs that are universally popular to their nation though.
However, you could probably pick one of MJ's most popular songs and go with that.

Yes, I made this thread with "Bohemian Rhapsody", "Don't Stop Believin", and "Never Gonna Give You Up" in my head, but I chose "Don't Stop Believin", mainly because I just watched "The Comebacks" again, and the locker room scene made me think of how much it is loved, then I remembered Family Guy, so I figured it was that.
