Have You Ever Played Snake? If You Have, You Know How Annoying It Is To Get A High Score. So Tell Me Your Best Score!

EOFF Has Snake On Its Site Here, Just Click The Community Tab And Theres A few Games. Although The High Score Function There Does Not Work.

When Giving Me Your Score (Im Guessing Your Honest Players!) Make Sure To Note The Level: Slug, Worm, Python. And Then, Tell Me Your Score.

Whoever Wins Each Category (Slug, Worm, Python And Overall) Will Win The Coveted Peach Of Happiness!

Also, You can update Your Scores Too, just because you set 10 on python, you can still try again and again!

I Suck At Snake. In Fact, 75 Is Double The Highest Score Ive Done Until Now. Must Have Had A Lucky Run On Slug!

Any Higher And I Would Die In 20 Seconds...

Second Update, Any Score Higher Than Say, 100 Has To Be Backed Up. Seems Fair Enough To Me.

I have gotten 135 like eight times now. I cannot go any higher than that. I think I have a screenshot somewhere if you want proof, but it's only one apple more than the highest score you have me listed as, so idk if you want to bother.

I just got 123 on Python. No, I cannot prove it because of the 404. And it's pretty smurfing hard to PrintScr before it does that because you're not expecting to die and that bitch 404's at 1/4 the speed of light. Pretty sure we can work on the honor system here.

I wonder if it's possible to fix that 404. When I tried to catch my 186 Python score or my 74 Slug score, I never even had a chance to hit the Prnt Scrn key.

We do plenty for the site. Do you even look at the frontsite?

We have no control over what goes on in the forums though. The games are a part of the forums. Therefore, there's nothing we can do about it. It's only something Admins can deal with.

Wrong. The games are on the EoFF front site actually. They're not intergrated with the forums at all. You don't see "forums.eyesonff.com" in the URL, do you? With FTP access you can get some rudimentary scoring system in that'd at least let you pause it so you can take a screenshot of the score.

If you want to actually intergrate them with the forums and go back to the old system that we had years ago where the scores were displayed on the forum, I'd wager that'd require Warren or Austin to do it.

Well I'll be darned, it is. I took a look at the files in the FTP, and the index page is, quite oddly, absolutely irrelevant to the current games. The games the forum links to appear to be .swf files under EoFF's domain, but not on the frontsite itself in any way, shape, or form-- as the only links to these games are on the forums (thus why I thought they were part of the forums, not the frontsite).

Either way, there has to be something coded into the .swf files that forces you directly to proarcade.php-- a page that currently does not exist.

I could probably look into this and find replacement .swf files to link to that do not force you to proarcade.php, unless someone here knows how to tinker with .swf files.

'Smatter of fact, I'm half inclined to try to find another site that allows people to use their games and add some more to the EoFF library (though of course someone will have to add those to the forum navbar-- which is definitely something we have no access to :p).

Feel free to PM me any ideas and I'll see what I can do.

Don't suggest stuff if you're not gonna play it though. >_>

EDIT: All right, give this a try. I went to neave's site and found a more up-to-date Snake game-- however, the scoring system is different, which would require a new scoreboard. However, you can play this one and lose, and you stay on the same page. Easy enough.

Since I know I can do this much, I'll start a new thread regarding revamping the EoFF arcade, to see if I can get some ideas. That is, as long as you admins don't mind.
