I do love FFX, but I don't like the idea of a third installment in the series.
In fact, the second one was kinda excrescent due to the story line. It doesn't refer to FFX's story line at all.
But I liked the battle system, it reminded me of FF5's job system :D
So no, please not. FFX's story was already settled in FFX. There was nothing left which wasn't covered up in the FFX, so FFX-2 was a (an entertaining though) waste and so would be FFX-3.
I normally don't venture into this forum, but then I happened to see this thread title from the forum index and had to suppress an urge to bang my head vigorously against the wall. Though I would not be at all surprised if Squeenix did create this atrocity.

I was a part of an FFX-3 collaborative on this site, and the storyline followed Tidus and Yuna's daughter as the main character. It was interesting, if noncanonical.
I'd love a prequel from when Sin is born.

No wonder SE keeps churning out weird titles. FFX-2 was probably born from someone suggesting, "I dont' care about the plot, but Yuna should wear hot pants."

Yeah I too could see a prequel about Braska/Auron/Jecht. X-2 was way more than enough for FFX sequels though, honestly.
I've thought about writing a story sequel that takes places after X-2.
It would involve the rebuilding of Zanarkand by the Al-bhed...
and some secrets they find there...

I always thought it would be really cool to do FFX-3 as a prequel, focusing on Braska, Auron, and Jecht's journey...
instead of sending plushies to attack with again, Lulu could send her baby. :D I don't know I would probably buy FFX-3 but I'm not sure if I would enjoy it much...

Spira is probably my favourate FF world, it's large, contains a lot of different and unique areas, and FFX was a good game, they gave a lot of good material in it.
But I'd like to see a sequal, I mean seeing Braskas Pilgrimage would be all well and good, but I already know that Sin dies in FFX so I think the story would be pretty boring when I know how it turns out.
I'm sure after throwing together the FFX-2 story, they could come up with something half decent for a X-3.
I'd like to see the gang get back together though, that'd be good...and I don't mean a half assed FFVII:AC reunion of the main characters, I mean a good one.
To me, Spira is a great mix of medieval and modern.

I wanted to play FFX-2 International, but i don't know where to get it, and the language barrier thing is a problem. i'm kind of.. not-in-the-know about things like htis.
Well, FFX is right up there with my favourite games of all time. And i thought X-2 wasnt really necessary. I mean, i still enjoyed the game the first time through, but i don't think i'd go back to play it again. So yeah.. DONT DO IT!!

weve been here many times before. its never going to happen. done and dusted. though i would love it but its never going to happen. i adored x-2 when i was younger but now i look at it, its not great at all, still fun to play but they murdered any chance of a trilogy. even a movie if they ever got the time would be so amazing. but like i said never.going.to.happen.

The Ending of Final Fantasy X-2 is a HAPPY HAPPY ending, excluding the bad ending which is definitely not the true story ending. So Final Fantasy X-2 does not need a sequel.
But Final Fantasy needs more onsen bikini cutscenes.
