So everyone, who's your favorite Cid throughout the series? And why? :bigsmile:
FF I he is dead but left us a ship in the desert
FF II he charges us at first but later he helps us and gives us his ship even when he blinks out after the Emperor is a jerk and goes on a rampage.
FF III he makes a couple ships for the light warriors and even stalks then for a little while, and uses fire spells on enemies while doing so :bigsmile:
FF IV his beard allows him to blow himself up and live, he uses a hammer and also can scan stuff.
FF V He has a grandson, and blows u your jail cell wall. Also gets trapped under a tower hen Exdeath puts the worlds back together.
FF VI Feed him fast fishies or he dies. Celes's granddad.
FF VII "SHUT UP AND DRINK YOUR GODDAMED TEA!" and he dreams of space.
FF VIII He is cheating on his wife, such a pervert! :(
FF IX Oglop, oglop, then he is a frog. another wife cheater but he saves everyone in Kujas castle, well half the party, the others are going to get a rock so Kuja can do stuff with it.
FF X He is bald and might be threatening the party if they hurt his family members but mostly he is a good guy.
FF XI I never played this so I'll say he has nice hair. :|
FF XII he looks cool and has an Esper that thows water around. Also he blows stuff up a lot and wears glasses. (SPOILER)He is also Balthier's Daddy!
FF T He is the most powerful character and makes every battle really easy. Also is a cool guy.
FF TA He can make the laws and before that he was kinda a drunk. xD
FF TA2 He has such a shady past but also helps Luso wander around the world and gets shot once but lives. Also can copy Bangaa jobs but is not a Banga!
I like a lot of Cids, they are fun and usually make ships fly around in the sky!
FF7, obviously -- the most badass of the Cids.
EDIT: well, actually FFT's Cid is most badass in power, but I'm talking personality and entertainment.
FFVII Cid is awesome. Most character and he is a funny bastard. Kinda same characteristics as FFX (personality and voice, not the same likeliness they all have) but FFVII Cid is better.
FFXII Cid is preety bad ass too
FFVII Cid, the only FFVII character I will speak fondly of.
Speaking of the badassness of Cid Highwind reminded me of this thread about how FF7:AC should have ended.

Same for me. Cid Highwind is pretty cool. Actually mostly all of them were great characters to me. Wish VI's was more involving.Quote:

FFT Orlandu has 2nd best stat growth, not the best, Reis wins! (Though his sword techs are op)
To mimic everyone else, VII Cid. He's just so freakin' kickass. It's awesome. He's one of my favorite characters out of the entire series.
FFT Cid was so powerful...a little TOO powerful. I mean, NOTHING could stand in his way. It was insane.

Al Cid was pretty cool, I liked how he had servants. But Cid Highwind takes the cake.

FFV Cid was a hippie. And apparently got laid at LEAST once.
But I'd say FFIX Cid for being as entertaining as hell (which, ironically, I can't imagine being too entertaining, but never you mind that)
I'm not a big fan of banana/condom Cid, but "Shut up and drink your goddamn tea" Cid is boss. :jess:

Highwind is obviously the best, though it's worth noting that Cid Pollendina from FFIV was something of a prototype for him at least if the J2e translation is really that reflective of the original Japanese script. Anyway Pollendina's probably my second favourite.
Best Cid for me is FFVII's, worst is FFX's.
As far as character design goes, however, my favorite is XII's. :D
I actually didn't want to say this, was trying to find one from earlier in the franchise, but I'm gonna go with Cid from FFVII. Humor, main character in the game, and his overall appearance is one that set this Cid apart from others in the series.
