I usually don't do intro threads

But I might as well before I go on posting.
Anyway I've been a final fantasy fan for a long time (about 10 years I think...) and played almost all of the Final Fantasy games in one way or another.

It's good that you're playing VII last, if at all. While it's my favorite, it's too hyped up. It probably would have changed your views of FF before you played the originals.

Yeah, but no one really likes VII.
If it weren't for that numbering system, I doubt anyone would remember it anyway. Square haven't really expanded much upon it in the form of movies, spin-off games and all that kinda stuff either. =]
